      You can use "Kaspersky removal" to remove Kaspersky. Then reinstall Kaspersky again. It is easier.

      To actually get this to resolve;

      1. Go to the services console and right click, choose disable under the Kaspersky service that is AVP.EXE

      2. Open up a command prompt as administrator

      3. Locate the PID that is associated with the AVP.exe process (Run tasklist)

      4. Type in (Taskkill /Pid 1234 /F) and press enter without brackets

      This will kill the process, and allow you to remove the older AV.
