How to fix your Iphone4

Diagnosing the problem

Obviously you want to first diagnose the problem and find out the cost, usually visiting your local carphonewarehouse store is the best way they will tell you problem and give you a price to fix it. Once you know roughly the problem get you ass back on google and search for "Iphone 4 part" or type the specific part such as " Iphone 4 jack fix cable".

The best place for your parts

I fount that the most reliable sites i go to for parts are actually just those at the top of google search under "Iphone4 parts UK", www.appleipodparts.com, www.iphonefixed.co.uk. I have had 100% reliablility with these sites and so should you (bear in mind some parts could take up to 2 weeks to wait for).

Iphonefixed.co.uk is a little faster with delivery for me purely because of location of the business, UK buyer are usually better with this site.

Common breaks and how much you will save if you fix it yourself

Probably the most common break on any phone is cracking the screen which is in fact usually free to repair! Most mobile phones come with a standard 12 month guarentee on the glass front screen. Im not sure if apple offer this with all their phones however I know that Samsung do so logically you would think Apple would also be forced to give this offer.

The Iphone4 LCD (screen behind the glass)

This is probably the most expensive and second most common problem that people get with a break on their Iphone 4. Visiting your local mobile repair store you may be in for a shock and find yourself paying out around £150-£200 for replacing the LCD screen which is the most valuable part of the phone itself. Buying the LCD screen actually only costs £80 so your basically paying someone £70-£120 just to replace the screen.

Easy fix?

I have repaired one a few months back to sell on ebay and all i did was follow a youtube tutorial on how to repair your Iphone 4 LCD screen, bare in mind you actually get instructions with the part when you order it however video tutorials are fare more useful in this situation.

Here are two relitivley good videos showing you how to take the Iphone4 apart, replace the screen and put it back together.

Iphone4 repairment tools

Bare in mind you will need tools of course to repair your Iphone4, you can find specific tools for the specific repair such as "Iphone 4 LCD screen tool kit". you'll find that Amazon and Ebay have some great sellers.

There is money to be made

Find the fixing easy? Mobile repairs can be decent money even from home

Ever watched any new mobile phone selling in a ebay auction? They almost always sell even damaged and broken mobiles, why is this? Yes that is right it's because they fix them and sell them on.

Buying sapres or reapirs mobiles on ebay canbe a risky business, you don't always know the details of the entire damage however with risk comes rewards. I have known people with no experience in mobile repairs to buy Iphones, take 2-4 weeks to repair them (purely because of waiting for the parts) and making 30-40% profit on the buy and repair! Of course there is times also where people have spent £100 on an Iphone 4 as sapres or repairs on ebay and fount the damage was so extensive internally that he would make a 20% loss once repairing and selling.

Many people make a living from doing this and there is still a huge gap in the market for people to make money. Take note that unless you have a little spare cash and the time to learn there's no point in wasting your time with buying and selling through ebay.

My husband now repairs iPhones, he learnt how to do it by watching another company do it.

Pick a company that will repair your iPhone at your house and then just watch them repair it to learn how to do it.

We used this company as they done repairs on the spot:-

I'm sure that there will be other companies in your area that offer the same type of service.

A bit cheeky I know but thought I'd share this little tip.

hey there, liquid is tricky, you need to diagnose the problem, if it is just the screen faulty or a link then the repair is the same yes :)
