Adsense Gadget

So why not create your own Blog and start writing posts, adding photographs, videos and links. Once you are happy with your creation you can then apply to join Google Adsense. When you are accepted by Google add the targeted ads to your Blog. It is extremely easy to set up and use. It is also free to join.

Once you have a Google Adsense account you can add the ads to any other Blogs you create without having to go through the application process again. Or if you already write articles on a writing site and have an account then you only have to use the Adsense Gadget on your Blog. There is no need to apply again to display your ads. Google will already have your account number on file and will link to your account automatically.

If you have a special interest that you enjoy and can write short blogs about it then you will be on you way to earning money from writing blog posts online. And believe me once you connect with other readers who also enjoy your interest then you will have created an interesting and profitable blog.

Making Money Online With Google

Targeted Google adverts are designed to appear on your blog in a way that they will only be connected to the subject you write about. This way the blog looks good and you have a better chance of readers clicking on the adverts. When you add the Adsense Gadget it will automatically pick the most relevant ads for the subjects you are writing about.

You earn money when the reader clicks on the advert. It does not matter whether the reader actually buys or joins what they are advertising. The reason you are paid for clicks is that you brought a potential customer to the company that had the ad on your page.

My First Blog

This first blog is about earning money by writing online. I use it to add unique links to my articles here on HubPages. I always write a short blog post about the article but in different words that the article itself. This is easily done by imagining you are telling your readers about your article, what is in it and how it will help them make money writing online by using the particular tips and advice. You can look at the layout of my blog here and become a follower if you wish too.

Make money writing online Blog

Dog Stories

This blog is my newest one. It started off as a platform to sell clothes for dogs which is an up and coming industry. I have mostly Amazon adverts on this one and only one Google advert I think. My main income comes from selling all things to do with dogs from Amazon.

I keep seeing these wonderful stories on the internet about dogs and puppies so changed the title of the blog to include those as well. This blog was only created recently so is still a work in progress.

You can have a look at my Dog Stories Blog here

      Hi Viking,

Thank you for putting this together. I hope you are feeling better and out of the hospital.

I had no idea Google blog was this simple to set up. I've always been interested in a platform like this, but have been dissuaded by other articles online about free blog - especially Google Blog.

Ignorance is truly NOT bliss. The down side for me is I'm going to go traipsing off and not complete my current projects.

Have you come across any limitations so far? Thanks again.

I do not earn too much from my blogs raymondphilippe but the earnings are rising steadily.

Hello Pharmf630 I am sorry for taking so long to reply to you but I have been in hospital for a few weeks and unable to keep up to date. Yes you may share my weblog on your twitter account

Yes westelICS I agree with you writing good content on your blog and keeping it interesting and up to date is the best way to gain readers and therefore earn money.

Hello candy k, When you create a blog you then add your Google Adsense affiliate account number to it. You can then add the Google adsense ads to your blog. When a reader clicks on these ads you earn money.

With Google updating their algorithm every month, it is quite difficult to stick to one rule, except for good content. Linking, spamming, duplicate content should be taken care of regularly or you might get your site penalized by the authorities at Google.

Yes WilccanSage blogging is not for everyone. I would certainly not say I could ever earn a living from my blogs, but it is a nice way to write short articles and I do earn some money from them.

I give people a lot of credit who can make a living off blogging; I've just never been able to make anything happen and gave up long ago. I guess it's because I'm not a big fan of social networking or sites like Facebook... I just like to write, I don't like to market. I guess that is why ghostwriting has worked out best for me so far. This is great advice for people looking to start out blogging.

I appreciate your comments Phyllis Doyle and the share and vote, thanks. Writing a blog with Blogger is interesting and enjoyable. When you have the time give it a try.

It does take time to create a decent blog and start to earn from adsense and Amazon but I believe it is worth the effort.

Thank you Crystal Tatum 4 for your comment and the pinning, much appreciated.

Nell Rose I was guilty of the same thing and went back to my blogs last year when Google once again hit us on HubPages. It is well worth the effort because writing short posts about a subject you enjoy is easy and very enjoyable.

Also with Google blogs you can write lots of posts when you are in the humour and schedule them to automatically post at different times and days. This is a great feature for me because I usually get a fit of inspiration and tend to write too much, so breaking them up into shorter posts is handy for the days I am just too busy to write a lot.

Good luck with your blogs and thank you for the share and vote

Hello word55. HubPages as a writing site takes 40% of our impressions as payment for allowing us to write here. This website has more cloat on the search engines than a new blog for sure.

But by writing your own blogs each on one subject you are giving yourself a better diversity of earning power. All the adverts on your blog will be 100% paid to you.

Blogging and writing 1500 word articles are completely different. I enjoy writing my short blog posts and sometimes I do not have the time to write a long and detailed article.

I do both and as of today my writing on HubPages does pay me a lot more money. I intend to continue with my blogs because I know that my earnings from them will increase.

Yes Amazon withdrew payments to certain states in America because they were about to be taxed. I have read on the HubPages forums that some states did change this and Amazon once again allowed people in those states to earn money again.

I do not know if Chicago is one of those States. I live in Ireland so do get Paid by Amazon

One more thing, I saw that Amazon does not pay people in the U S. T least not on hub pages, Can you explain that?

      Al Wordlaw

This is good viking305 but you can't use the same content that is on hub pages. Is there anyway to show how much money and time to earn enough money to determine that it is worth more blogging at Google or posting hubs and earning here?

Another great hub viking305. I have a lot a work to do. I have not been paying attention to my hubs the last 12 months and when I came back to them 10 out of 17 were down as 'Not Featured'.

I managed to do some updating on them after receiving good advice and getting to know the new rules from HubPages.

Now all 17 are featured hubs. This is great yes but I also need to get traffic to them which I hope to study up on soon.

You have some great information hubs featured here viking305 so I had better go and do some homework.

Thank you for another great article and keep up the good work.

Hello Williean, Join this writing site here and write at least 6 to 10 good articles. Then apply to Google Adsense to become an affiliate. Keep writing as much as you can and learn all you can from the free lessons on HubPages.

With time and hard work you will eventually start to earn money from writing online. This could take quite a few months, it depends on how good a writer you are. Good luck

Please, I will love to join Google Blog/Adsence; but, I really do not know how. I'm very good in article writing and representation. I've once worked in an online marketing firm, from where I also learn the creativity behind article writing. Then, I used to write articles and post them on Ezine Articles; but, I now particularly take interest in joining those who are eraning money from Google Blogs/ Google Adsense. Please tel me how its possible.Thanks..WILLIEAM

It depends what kind of blog you write. If you write about a popular subject where people tend to buy a lot of things in connection with this area of interest then you are onto a winner. Try out a few blogs on subjects you yourself are interested in. If you hit on a niche market you will make money.

Most pets are good things to write about. I have a blog on dogs and puppies. Up to a few months ago I wrote about 2 posts a week and sold lots of dog items from amazon ads. Google ads only brought in around 50c to 70c a day.

I have let this blog and other I have slip these past few months because my father died suddenly in August and had to move back to live with my mother. Things have settled down now and I can now get back to keeping my blogs and writing up to date.

Another good niche market if you have the experience is stories about babies and young children. Lots of parents willing to buy stuff there lol.

The ordinary blog which can be about any subject will not bring in much revenue at all, but as you say you love to write it so continue with that for pleasure.

The Google blogs are easy to set up and free so you can go ahead and start a few different ones for each niche and see which ones start to pay off. Once you start to get a good following of regular readers you will be onto a winner.

      Good luck

Ok one question! Does it really work? Can you make a decent amount of money from adsense and amazon sales with a blog? I have been blogging for 3 years, tried varius affiliates and google adsense and barely made a penny. Hubpages has been far better for me already and I have only been here a few months. I am a genuine writer not looking to get rich quick or anything. My main blog if purely for enjoyment these days, I make almost no money but I love it so much. But I would consider starting others if I thought there was genuine earning potential in them. This is a great breakdown hub for anyone wanting to start a google blog I just wonder if 90% of people would ever actually make money? Thanks

Yes Kyrillos, if you are already a Google Adsense or Amazon affiliate then you are allowed to put these ads on your own blog. The only thing you need to be careful about is that the blog adheres to Google's Terms and conditions. ie no porn, gambling etc.
