How to Embed You Tube Videos to Your Blogs

Google Blogger allows you to post a video on Blogger. I show you how by adding widgets of Video Bar and Search Control. Now even as a complete beginner you can let your readers watch YouTube Videos straight from your site.

How to Add a YouTube Video to Blogger

Video Bar

  • By inserting Google Video Bar onto your website or blog you will have YouTube videos that are customized to relate to the content that you have created.
  • The reader can watch YouTube videos without leaving your website.

Video Search Control

  • By inserting Google Video Search Control your readers can search through the whole of the YouTube website.
  • But they will only be able to access videos that have the customized content you have set.

  1. To add these amazing widgets on to websites and blogs just fill in the Google form.
  2. Add the tabs and info on the video subjects you want and Google will supply you with the code needed.
  3. Copy and paste this to activate your personal widget that displays only the YouTube videos you want your readers to see.

Step-by-step Instructions

I have given detailed easy to follow instructions below for those of you who only have the basic understating of computer programming.

Google Video Bar

  1. By customizing the video bar you can decide whether you have a strip of YouTube videos displayed vertically or horizontally on your webpage or Blog.
  2. You also decide what videos will appear there.
  3. If you are using this widget and have Google ads on your page then you are only allowed to display videos that contain the same content as your webpage or blog.
  4. This is easy to do as you will see with the Video Bar Wizard below.
  5. How many videos do you want to display on your page and what size will they be? You decide!

Video Bar Wizard

A direct link is given at the end of this article. This is the form below that you will see. It asks a few simple questions so that you can customize your widget. Once this is done the Wizard will write the code for you.

How To Start A Blog

You are given 2 choices.

  1. Vertical
  2. Horizontal

You only have to click on the spot of whichever one you want.

Popular Video Feeds

You have 4 choices and can pick as many as you like.

  1. Most Viewed Videos
  2. Top Rated Videos
  3. Top News Videos
  4. Recently Featured Videos

YouTube Channels

  1. There is an empty box here: Type in a specific channel of your favorite user and their videos will only appear.
  2. The same applies to your own YouTube videos. If you want multiple channels just separate with a comma.

Search Expressions

  1. These are tags that you can enter here. The same applies as above.
  2. You can enter one tag or a number of tags separated by commas.
  3. I find that one word tags work best.
  4. You have finished customizing your widget. That was easy!

Add Code to Your Site

  1. There is a button to the right of this that says Show Code.
  2. Press this button and you will see your customized widget appear.

It will look like this

<!-- ++Begin Video Bar Wizard Generated Code++ -->
// Created with a Google AJAX Search Wizard

  4. If you do not like the videos just change the tags and have another look.

Your Website

You will see an empty box where you are prompted to enter the URL of your website or blog.

Generate Code

  1. There is a button here that says, ‘Generate Code’.

Extremely informative hub. I've got clients asking me constantly to do youtube site updates and video embeds and the process is so simple. I should direct them here for all the info they need. Typically, we add playlists to a site and once we do that, the client can simply update their videos and add anything they want to the playlist. Using youtube really isn't difficult, but people don't take the time to read instructions. So all in all, this hub would be terrific and I will point some of my clients here in the future. Thanks again!
