HTC Butterfly: A Super Stylish Phablet
The high Tech computer corporation or, simply, the HTC corporation has stepped into the new phablet zone with the launch of HTC Butterfly whose specs and hardware speaks for itself. Only time will tell how far HTC will be successful to give a tough competition to its present competitors in the market. Let us take a brief look about the specs and other hardware configuration of this smart handheld device:
Look and appearance
To be honest with the review of this handset one has to accept that this gadget is greatly designed to catch anyone's attraction on the first look itself. A 5 inch display, weighing around 120 grams, and 9.01 mm of thinness gives a great feel when ones holds this handset on the fist. The three keys below the handset for the back, home and menu on the black front panel is pretty decent. The bottom of the handset has the USB charging slot while the top has the switch on/off button.
The back of the handset has the 8.0 megapixel led flash camera and the speaker. It boasts of LCD 3 display and a full HD resolution of 1080p. It powers Qualcomm S4 1.5 GHz quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM. It has 16 GB of internal memory expandable up to 16 GB. As said before, the 8.0 megapixel camera is capable to shoot photographs and video in not so well illuminated conditions. For connectivity, Blue tooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS options are available. The hardware feature of the handset is the best and hardly any other device within that range comes close to it.
In the software department too HTC does not disappoint. It runs on Android 4.1 operating system. There are five customizable home screens available together with a range of widgets. Applications like Task Manager, stocks, Google mail, chat etc., are available. Besides, much more is available from the embedded Google Store application.
Multimedia and battery
The handset crafts a great style and attracts viewership by the users. The HD display has its effects and right from viewing images and videos to reading texts are as simple as a, b, c. The music quality output is too good for the human ears. The front 2.1 megapixel camera shoots great HD videos. The super smooth sense user interface makes things smoother on the go for the users. The battery is a bit disappointing as the Li-ion 2,020 m AH drains faster
Performance, pricing and color
The strong processor, the full HD display, excellent combination of hardware and software and slimness makes it an outstanding device that one would like to have in his/her palm. The smooth scrolling and quicker launching of applications is noteworthy. The loudspeaker is not only loud but also clear and the sound quality output is better. The price is a bit on the higher side as it costs around RS 44,000. This is where its competitors would have an upper hand. But when class comes with a blend of style, one certainly does not mind paying a bit more to have it in his/her wallet or to hold it in the palm. It is available in black and white color in India.
It is a great Smartphone that easily trades out a touch of care and love. The looks, features, design and ease of use are its other big advantages. The things that put it behind are its price and weaker battery support. Before buying this handset, the end consumers would also like to find out other devices where they need to pay a bit less.
