AMAeSI - an Excellent Option for Higher Studies

AMAeSI and Aeronautical Engineering

Associate Membership of the Aeronautical Society of India (AMAeSI) is a course recognized by Govt. of India at par with a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering.

AMAeSI Course has two sections – Section A and Section B. The qualified candidates can appear for Section A examination. Section B comprises four streams such as Aero-mechanical, Avionics, Electrical Maintenance & Production and Mechanical Maintenance & Production. The examinations of these two sections are conducted by the Aeronautical Society of India (AeSI), which is a major professional body in the realm of aeronautics in India. 

As the AMAeSI Course is equivalent to Aeronautical Engineering, students who have passed AMAeSI Section A and B can appear for all India Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by Indian Institute of Science and Indian Institute of Technology. Moreover, for those candidates who pass Associate Membership Examination of the Society will be eligible for relaxation of 12 months experience required for the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License conducted by the Director General of Civil Avionics.

AMAeSI Course is an excellent option for higher studies for students, who finish Higher Secondary education, Diploma in Engineering and Science graduate with 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Successful completion of AMAeSI Course can bring you excellent career opportunities in prestigious organizations. The scope of high-status and highly paid employment is good within aeronautical engineering compared to the other branches of engineering as professionals are required in number of areas like aircraft manufacturing unit, space stations, space research organizations like NASA, aviation departments, navigation systems, radars etc.

The field of aeronautical engineering is highly demanding and challenging. In order to get through a student must have sound academic background, strong mathematical base and analytical mind. So also, those students, who are interested in this stream of engineering, must be physically fit coupled with a passion to learn technical aspects and skills.
