How Candy Crush Almost Ruined My Life and 5 Other Great Games
Hello. My name is Heidi and I am addicted to Candy Crush. That's right, I have let a game based on switching and matching delectable treats take over my life one swift move at a time. In the past few weeks I have spent a total of $12.00 on extra moves, lives, spins, candy crushing lollipops, sprinkle covered malt balls and tickets that will allow me to enter the next level. In the app world that's equivalent to a small fortune and in the real world that's equivalent to being a bit ridiculous but, I can't help myself. If I stop now I'll never know where the candy coated road may take me and I might be disowned by my equally obsessed household. Aside from Candy Crush Saga, here are five of my favorite FREE games available at the tap of a finger!
1, Where's My Water? and Where's My Water? 2
Disney has created a real winner with this one! What's more fun than helping a sewer alligator named Swampy get enough water to take a shower? Nothing, that's what. With over 500 puzzles it might be impossible to get your mind out of the gutter. That's right, I went there.
2. Papa Pear Saga
King.com Limited created something that's like a pinball machine but with so much more at stake. Not only is this game really fun, one of the levels is named the Great Pearamids. If that doesn't convince you to try this game then I don't know what will.
3. Tetris Blitz
You read it right ladies and gentlemen. Tetris, an oldie but goodie! Electronic Arts definitely knew what they were doing when they revamped this classic giving it 100 more reasons to love it. Tetris got a facelift and it never looked better.
4. Happy Bee
Ok, I must admit, I settled for Happy Bee and ended up accidentally loving it. I originally set out to join the Flappy Bird craze but since creator Dong Nguyen pulled the game out of the app store claiming it was "too addictive," I had to find my entertainment elsewhere. I don't know how Happy Bee compares to the popular bird but it's still really fun.
5. Unroll Me
I'm not usually a fan of games that make me want to scream out of frustration, but this is an exception. If you like puzzles that don't involve anything I've already mentioned (i.e. tunnels, fruits, funny names, falling shapes and crazy bees) then it's time to get the ball rolling. Join in on the frustrating fun and please, give me some tips if you can.
Whether you're the quiet gamer or the one who spams innocent Facebook friends for the chance to be #1, try some of these games and prepare to fall for the fun. You should probably start doing some finger exercises this very second!
Do you play any of these games? What are some of your other favorites? Leave a comment! Let's talk about it!
