How to Create Any CD/DVD Disk Image On Linux

Today, I will teach you how to create disk image of any type of CD/DVD Disk on Linux without the use of any tool. It is inbuilt and I will be explaining based on Pictures. Let pictures speak for themselves.

Follow the below Procedure:

1. Launch Disks in any of your Linux Distro. You can use the search function for quick access, when you launch it, you get something like the picture below.

2. After you are done with step 1 above, make sure the disk is inserted then click on the disk and navigate to the more option, click on create disk image.

Then you have something like the below screenshot.

3. Wait for the process to complete, then navigate to FILES and click on the path you selected for the image creation. Then, Open with disk image mounter.

You have successfully created a disk image of your desired file.
