Hand held GPS unit

If you are looking for a hand held GPS unit to use for hiking, hunting, biking, fishing, or any other activity that does not include a car, a hand held is the best type of GPS to get. The hand held units are so much more useful over a wide array of activities. You can get them with mounts for your bike, for your car, you can also get a case to carry the unit on your belt, or mount it in your boat.

They offer a great way to mark your favorite fishing spots, how far and how fast you ride on your bike, how to make sure you can get to a particular place and not get lost when hiking. They are very handy for a lot of things, and are also a gadget that could save your life.

The price of hand held units have come to where anyone can get one. I have a Magellan unit that I have had for about 6 years that still works great. When I got it I paid close to $400 for it, as you can see, for that price you can get several very good units.

Most of the car GPS units can be taken out of the car and used as a portable, but they just aren't as good for a unit that you can easily carry on you.
