How to create your own blog with Blogger.com

Getting Started

Blogging is a wonderful way to express yourself to the world. It opens up a door to hundreds of thousands of possible viewers into your life every day. And in today's era of no time to do anything, Blogger.com has made it simple and painless to start your own blog. Whether it is to talk about a hobby or your daily trials and tribulations or maybe it is an attempt to earn a living using the internet, blogging can be an easy and rewarding proposition, for even the not so computer savvy individuals of the world. All you will need is a Google account, an internet connection and a computer and you too can get started on your own road to becoming a blogger.

Below you will find illustrated, step by step instructions to start your own blog using blogger.  Although there are a lot of little details to be learned along the way, this is a first step for beginner bloggers to find their path to self expression.

Step 1

Log into Blogger.com using your Google Account username and password.  Google owns blogger so your information is easily transferred between them.

Step 2

Once you Log in, your transferred to your dashboard. on your dashboard there is a location to the upper right hand side, the hyper Text link that says "Create Blog" This will take you to the Name your blog screen.

Step 3

Choose a name for your blog and your blog URL. This can be whatever you may want so be inventive. It can contain your name or anything that the blog may be about. You will have to also enter a Captia for security purposes. Your URL may already be taken, if so you will be prompted on the next page to try again. It may take a few tries before you find something that has not already been used.

Step 4

Next step will be to choose a template.  There are quite a few to choose from so take a look, but don't worry.  You are not locked to that template forever.  You can always change it, try others out, and play around till you find one that suits your blog and your blogging style.

Step 5

Well, there you go!  You have set up your blog and are now ready to start adding your content.  Congrats and good blogging!!!
