UPDATE:

AFTER WRITING THIS ARTICLE I HAVE SINCE
FOUND OUT THAT SOME OF THESE ARE NOT
ENTIRELY FREE -

I CANNOT DELETE OR CHANGE THE TITLE.
SO YOU ARE STILL WELCOME TO READ
THIS ARTICLE AND JUDGE FOR YOURSELF

With so many new programs and increasing technology these days, we have to keep on top of everything. We all need our computers to be as efficient as possible. Therefore, if your computer is running slow, it needs a little help.

How often have you put up with a computer that takes ages to start? You can go and put the kettle on and come back hoping it has finally finished loading. There is nothing more frustrating, especially when you need it for something important.

A computer cluttered with invalid files and data will affect the time it takes to load, and the general performance of your computer. It will affect the way the computer runs, often coming up with error messages and slow installation of Internet connections and those pathetically slow downloads.

There is nothing worse than sitting there waiting ages for the browser pages to open. When this happens you need to use a Registry cleaner.

Registry Cleaners

REGISTRY CLEANERS CAN AUTOMATICALLY REPAIR THESE FAULTS:

1. When a program crashes

2. Constant Blue Screens

3. Slow start and shut downs or slow to open Internet pages

4. Windows and driver errors

5. Invalid or corrupted registry entries

6. Missing Files and Folders

7. Obsolete Software Key

8. Missing shortcuts

9. Invalid ActiveX

There is no need to buy a Registry cleaner, because there are so many available on the internet ready to download FREE of charge. Do not waste your limited spending money when these work as good as the ones you have to pay for.

Download Free Registry Cleaners

There is no need to buy a Registry cleaner, because there are so many available on the internet ready to download FREE of charge. Do not waste your limited spending money when these work as good as the ones you have to pay for.

FREE REGISTRY CLEANERS

1. Registry Fix - This is a five star program. I have found this to be easy to use and does a thorough job leaving my computer running faster after using it. This will remove errors and damaged files from your registry.

2. Reg Cure is a four star program. They offer to give your computer a free scan to pick up any errors and repair them.

3. Eusing free registry cleaner- This program claims to scan your Windows registry looking for any errors from invalid or obsolete files that could cause problems on your computer. It also makes a backup of the repaired entries, in case you want to return them to your computer.

4. Abexo Free Registry Cleaner 1.1 - This has a 3 .5 star Rating. This is a shareware version. It states that is a one-click registry backup, which cleans and def-rags your computer. This will make your computer run faster by cleaning the windows registry for you.

Need to know about all Programs and Software

According to several web site tests, they state that some of the registry cleaners do not do everything they claim. Therefore, do your homework and be guided by friends and other reliable computer uses as to which program works best for the majority of people.

Before using any new programs or software, do a Google search of the web sites and decide for yourself, which is the best, that way you have done your best to be well advised.

Hi Eileen, I used to defrag my computer but I don't see that it helps. Antivirus helps my computer better. I have yet to try registry cleaner. Thanks a lot.

BeatsMe. No, Antivirus software just protects your computer against virus's

You can also run a spybot on your computer to get rid of cookies etc.

Check out this hub for info on spybot. http://hubpages.com/hub/how-to-protect-your-comput...

      Lilymag thanks for reading

jedgrey, Sorry I was sure those ones were completely free, I will check it out though.

      topstuff, thanks for reading.

Beuellers way. Thanks yes, I always burn most of my stuff on cd or dvd. usually updating it all the time. Because sometime the cd's do not work after awhile so you cannot rely on that completely.

I wrote another article about losing material and passwords.

I can't count the number of computers I've used that have done what you describe. Another thing that could help in addition to the registry cleaner is to back up large files you don't want to lose that slow the pc down. Just put them on an external hard drive or cdr The more space available the faster the rickety old puppy will go. Kind of like taking all the crap out of the trunk of your car and realizing you can go faster and get better mileage.

      Hi Eileen,

Great hub, but I havea slight problem. I checked several sites but they all had the old bait and switch. One program found 496 errors but to fix them will cost me. I found the same deal on another which found 709 errors. Can you help me sort this out? I'm pretty much a neophyte

Brilliant Eileen. I'm going straight over to get that registry cleaner right now. That's what like about this space: the ability - and the willingness - to share information. Thanks again.
