How to make a free website from scratch

Updated on December 27, 2010

There are many ways to create a free website from scratch. There also are many places to make a website, but only some are really free. When creating a website from scratch their are many factors to consider. People need to think of what they want to make, where, and how they are going to make it. Many different sites offer different kinds of websites. The best place for you to make a free website depends on what kind of website you actually want to make.

What kind of website is best for you?
There are many kinds of websites. If you feel like you just want to share ideas a blog may be the best idea. If you want to post information just a simple page could work. If you are starting a business or are going to have lots of data and many purposes for posting, a full website may be the best idea. The more of a website you can create from scratch the more you get to customize and design your website. Creating a website from scratch may be more tedious but it is by far more useful when someone is serious about creating a website.

Blog
If a blog is what you are looking for there are an almost unlimited amount of sites to post on. If someone wants a video blog they can create a YouTube account. Video blogs tend to catch on quicker and build more traffic flow and popularity. Some people do not want to show their face and could possibly just want to stay anonymous. If someone wants a text blog Blogger is currently the best and most popular site for that.

Basic Page
If you are looking for a basic page site there is also an unlimited amount of sites to post on. When making a website for a simple non-serious purpose there is not really a need to go through the hassle for learning a programming language. Many websites like WebsWeebly, and Wix allow users to simply pick a style and put in the text, pictures, and videos they want without using a bit of code. These sites are easy and quick. The only thing is when it comes to programming the easier it is the less customization you can have. With a site like these some complex things are not possible to build but that does not matter when someone just wants to create a simple and easy webpage.

Fully Functional Website
To truly create a website from scratch someone has to program every aspect of their website. Some people think it is hard to learn coding languages like HTML, CSS, and PHP but the truth is if someone sits down and has the time it is not that hard of a concept to learn. These languages were designed for the everyday user to easily pick up and execute. There are fewer sites that allow for this freedom but Freewebhostingarea does a good job at that.

With years of programming websites with this domain I have never ran out of options and could not create something I wanted to. This site has free web space of 1500 MB. It offers hosting from 2005 without interruption. Accounts are available in every country and language so everyone has the same opportunity. There also is unlimited traffic and no ads which is great for attracting a user population. Accounts also never expire unless the account is purposely deleted. With the full support of HTML, FTP, SSI, MySQL 5, phpMyAdmin, and 24/7 technical support many would find this too great of a site to delete.

There are many different kinds of websites to create. When someone truly wants to make one from scratch learning a coding language is necessary.  Freewebhostingarea definitely gives all users the full functionality of the web. Actually programming a website can be more work but it is worth it in the long run. When this domain site is used, anyone with the drive to learn the languages can create their dream website.
