How to pay less on your electricity bill in Queensland

Price of 9 energy retailers compared: Queensland electricity bills rose more than 6 per cent in 2011 and 13 per cent the year before.
Some should shop around: The 1,997,659 home and small business electricity users in Queensland can compare energy costs. About half now used competitive contracts, and another half had decided to stay on the fixed price. This is also called the default price.
