The Internet Printer: Print From Anywhere

Updated on September 28, 2011

What Is an Internet Printer?

Internet connected printers for the home and office are now emerging on the market. The first generation of these devices do not have web browsers and will not provide access to all web content. However, these models have a variety of applications to give users access to a select set of useful websites where they can potentially view, print, and share information. The number of applications should continue to grow over time.

Newer internet printer models are also available to consumers which allow them to e-mail print jobs directly to their printer from any internet connected device. This means print jobs can be sent from a smart phone, iPad, or similar device. This also means that this ability won't be limited to just a few sites for which apps have been created.

These printers can make tasks much more simple and allow them to be completed more quickly. Their wireless connectivity makes it all possible to do your work anywhere in your home. Learn more about what is currently available and their capabilities on this page.
