Leaked photos of Android Lollipop and Sense 6 in HTC One M8 and M7 appear

Updated on November 22, 2014

Few screenshots of Android Lollipop and Sense 6 on HTC One M8 have leaked on the net recently, thanks to Android developer LlabTooFeR. The unreleased version of the new Android OS and HTC’s mobile system show a noteworthy redesigned notification tray combined with a multitasking view that is of Lollipop. Though it is still quite early for a Lollipop rollout as it is to make its way into Nexus devices first, those who have NVIDIA Shield already got their updates and many others may follow suit sooner.

HTC has yet to update its One M8 and M7 Google Play Edition phones to Lollipop early this week. However, it is delayed for a bit so the upgrade is pushed to Friday. VP Product Management Mo Versi of HTC informed the public through Twitter that GPE M8 and M7 will have On-The-Air rollout on November 21.

For devices that are infused with HTC Sense, their Lollipop is scheduled in February, and the recent leaks of Android Lollipop - HTC Sense 6 tandem are appearing, perhaps to give consumers a glimpse of how it would look like on their HTC One M8 and M7 devices.

The leaked photos show more Android-like looks, while the design of the Notification area and Quick Settings looks like a mix of Lollipop and some past iterations of HTC Sense. The screenshots are proofs that HTC is now busy working for the new Android version upgrade of its flagship phone, and hopefully deliver its promise, which is within three months after receiving the final code of Android 5 from Google - February 2.

HTC One Mini and Mini 2 Lollipop upgrade is still to be announced, perhaps after the regular M8 and M7 duo received theirs.
