How to Make a Youtube Video Using PowerPoint and Best Free PPT to Video Converter

Updated on November 15, 2015

In this tutorial you will learn how to make a Youtube video using PowerPoint or PPT. Every one knows that PowerPoint is a easy to use tool that comes with Windows. You can put together a few photos or slides and make a video from PowerPoint. In one of my other hubs, you can also see how to repeat Youtube from one point to another and share this clip with your friends.

Let's see how to convert PowerPoint to video using a simple Tool.

  • This software converts PPT to video and retains sound and animations.
  • The video quality is very good.

Best Free PPT to Video Converter

Do you have an excellent presentation and wondering how to make a Youtube video from PowerPoint using a free PPT to video converter. You can use PowerDVDPoint Lite and convert PPT to video for free with sound and animations. The quality of the final video also would be good. You can download the software from the below link. After downloading the software, install it. It is a simple process and follow the instructions on the installation screen.

Rehearse Timing

First things first, set the timing of your slides using rehearse timing. Watch the below video for clear instructions on how to make your PPT run automatically without using a mouse.

Add narrations and set the timings of your slides before making the video. Some times you can skip add narrations because you can even add it a later time using Windows Movie Maker and Audacity, but Rehearse Timing is very essential. If you ignore this, PowerPoint will assign default timings to your slides and this may sometimes lead to a messy video.

In the next screen, select the output format of your video. Basically, there are only 4 options available. One of them is the world famous WMV format. You can also select the Quicktime Movie or MOV format. Youtube accepts both these formats and they have confirmed this in their help pages. Change the configuration of your video in the Settings such as whether you want the quality to be low, medium, or high.

A high quality video will be large. So, it takes time to upload it, download it or share it in email. Sometimes you may make a video just to share it with your friends, in those case a slight compromise in quality won't make a big deal.

Coming back to Settings, the ideal value for frame rate is 30 frames per second. Other things are for techies and you can just leave them.

  • There will be no watermarks on the final video
  • There is no compromise in quality
  • If you have Windows 2010, then you don't need to install this software, you can just save the PowerPoint as video.
  • This free PPT to video converter can be used with any version of PPT.

You can find the best of my how to guides here.

Click Next. In the next screen, click Convert Presentation. You have to wait for some time depending on the number of slides you have in your PPT. The conversion will take more or less the same time as Moyea, the PPT to video converter.

After the conversion, you will get a pop-up. Click Okay and click Open Target Folder. Tada! Your video will be played. Now upload this video to Youtube and share it with the world.

This finishes the tutorial on how to make a Youtube video from PowerPoint.

Why oh why didn't I come to Hubpages first yesterday instead of trying to find this all out by myself. THANKS. This is great. I'm going to compare the quality with your suggestions to what I slaved over yesterday. Great job.
