Weather Resistant Kodak Zx1 Pocket HD Camcorder

Updated on April 12, 2015

How cool is it to whip out a video camera within moments to catch that once in a lifetime shot. Finally this scenario is becoming the norm instead of a rare occurrence. Pets, children and sunsets do not pause for your convenience but if you have the Kodak Zx1 Pocket Video Camera they don’t need to. HD 720P video can be captured in a compact-pocket size video camera that can be had in your choice of colors such as black, red, blue, yellow and pink.

Regardless of the occasion, up to 10 hours of video can be shot when a 32GB SD card is slipped inside.

All of the camera openings are protected by rubberized doors so water, rain, snow and even sand or dirt will not slow the action. Take it to the beach or record the building of a snowman. Catch that special play from your favorite athlete even if the weather takes a turn for the worse.

The better the light the better the video will be – that is not to say that lower light conditions have to be avoided. My personal experience at taking digital photos or videos in low-light conditions have given me less than perfect results. However, in most cases I cherish those photos and videos just as much.

Slow motion playback gives you instant knowledge of the action just shot. Frame by frame, fast forward and rewind is possible and can be viewed on the 2-inch LCD monitor.

If you are satisfied with what you see it is easy to upload it to YouTube via the built-in software and a USB port on your computer. An HDMI cable is included as well as AV and USB cables.

The built-in software is automatically loaded any computer once the Kodak Zx1 Pocket Video Camera is connected. Editing can be accomplished on this software and still shots can be captured from the video.

How you power the Zx1 is your choice. A set of AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries as well as a charger is included in the box but if you prefer a lithium battery you can purchase the CRV3 or if you prefer a Li-Ion battery go with the Kodak Rechargeable KLIC-8000.

Accessories are available for separate purchase. A remote control and a tripod can open up new possibilities such as self-video. Multiple colorful cases can express your personality.

The Kodak Zx1 would be great on its own or as a pocket size back-up camera. Missing the perfect video is disappointing but it often happens when a larger more bulky camera is involved. Keep the Zx1 in your pocket, purse or bag for quicker access.
