Motorola Xoom Tablet Computer
Motorola Xoom Android Tablet PC 2011
Motorola always comes out with technology gadgets that are loaded with hardware capabilities beyond their competitors and its no exception that their 2011 tablet pc known as the "Xoom", rivals the iPad, and oh yes Apple, beware.
The Xoom already beats the iPad with front- and rear-facing cameras with the rear camera capable of recording 720p HD movies. The iPad cannot record in HD because it doesn't have any cameras. How sad! The Xoom also has a larger screen with higher resolution than the iPad, it supports Adobe Flash, and its the only tablet PC to date that runs dual core processors made explicitly for multi-tasking on the Android's newest 3.0 operating system called Honeycomb.
Motorola also announced accessories for their new tablet pc, a leather case that doubles up as a stand, a standard dock for charging that can also be used as a stand, and a "speaker HD" docking station that's equipped with three USB ports, HDMI output, and built-in speakers. There's also a bluetooth keyboard.
The Xoom boasts' 32GB of storage space, a 10.1-inch widescreen HD display, a 5 megapixel camera, and it will run on Verizon's 4G network. A price tag has not been revealed yet but expect the Xoom to be much cheaper and faster than Apple's $499.00 16GB iPad. The best part about the Xoom is the Android's ever-expanding application market with a million apps to date available for download and still counting. Beat that Apple!
