Nvidia GTX 680 card
From Nvidia 600 series, here comes Nvidia GTX 680 and its performance for the gamers live up to its standards. You can all play games on the highest setting with multiple monitor setups.Nvidia GTX 680 graphic card is a future proof graphic card which will let you play games of 2014-2015 in near future. But revolution in technology is pretty fast and with 2014-2015 games you may need to turn down the setting of the games to play it on Nvidia GTX 680 card.
When it comes to get a better performance, you need to select proper motherboard, RAM and processor to complement your graphic card. As performance is not just depended on the graphic card alone, whole system is responsible for getting a better performance.
If you let me suggest a system for you I will suggest a DDR3 16GB RAM, Motherboard supporting SLI or crossfire, gen quad core processor and Nvidia GTX 680 or 660i (for fairly playing).
Cost of Nvidia GTX 680 in India is Rs. 36,040/- and in US $499.99.

Let’s test Nvidia GTX 680 Card on some games with our test rig system.
- Crysis 2
- Battlefield 3: BF3
- Call of Duty: Modern warfare 3
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Batman Arkham City
- Metro 2033
These games are best and require more resources to exhaust if you want to play it in 3D or in multiple monitor setups. We can play these games at their peak settings with our test rig system.
We plotted a graph showing FPS we got when we test these game on Test Rig system having Nvidia GTX 680 card. We are getting an average of 45+ FPS (Frames per second) in the games and if we talk about individual games, we are getting at least 40 + FPS.
Nvidia GTX 680 is a high end card providing more resources to exhaust and provide us a 3D game play (Multiple monitor setups). Mid-range cards can’t afford that much power and can’t provide us the power to play a game in 3D setup. Nvidia GTX 680 delivers great performance with great efficiency to fulfill our gaming desire. If you want to compare Nvidia GTX 680 then AMD HD 7970 will be its best competitor.
Nvidia GTX 680 is surely an amazing graphic card but figure out your needs before you buy this card. You want to play a game in Single monitor setup (2D game play) then it’s not your gaming card. It uses more resources and energy than normal so it’s best for a 3D game play (Multiple Monitor Setups).
If you want to play in single monitor setup then I will suggest you some other gaming cards (graphic cards). If you posses Nvidia GTX 680 card, I welcome you on comment section to share your experience.
