Overview of Ulefone Armor 6

Updated on January 21, 2019

At the heart of Ulefone Armor 6 is Helio P60, which was once added in early 2018. This is a productive and energy-efficient mid-level chip that includes an eight-core processor with a clock frequency of up to 2 GHz, manufactured the usage of 12-nanometer technology.

In addition, the Helio P60 used to be the first among MediaTek chipsets to receive a devoted hardware unit for working with Artificial Intelligence. The manufacturer geared up the smartphone with 6 GB of RAM, so you can forget about the problems with multitasking. Not much less thrilled with the quantity of built-in storage: 128 GB is ample to deploy a range of applications and keep any data.

The smartphone is equipped with three cameras: dual rear and single front. The manufacturer of the modules on the official website is not specified, the test programs also could not help.

The camera application allows you to use HDR mode, can shoot panoramas and portraits, allows you to set some settings manually and process photos using the built-in filters. In general, contains all the necessary features that can be useful for shooting.

The second camera, which often causes criticism in Chinese smartphones, really works here. Ulefone Armor 6 pretty well defines the boundaries of objects and blurs the background behind them. In addition, when shooting in the “Stereo” mode, it is possible to change the focus point even on ready-made images.

The capacity of the Ulefone Armor 6 battery is 5,000 mAh. According to the manufacturer, it provides up to 25 hours of telephone conversations, 34 hours of listening to music or 9 hours of video playback.

The operating system in the smartphone uses Android 8.1 Oreo, but the company's programmers have worked hard on it. The changes affected both the visual part and the functionality.

The Helio P60 chipset is quite capable of giving battle to the popular solutions from Qualcomm in the middle price segment. For the first time in a long time, MediaTek has released a platform that allows you to create not only inexpensive, but also productive devices.

Screen and sound

The display of the smartphone has a resolution of 1,080 × 2,246 points and a diagonal of 6.2 inches. This ensures a density of 403 pixels per inch so that individual pixels can only be viewed from a distance of several centimeters. There is no need to talk about any gradients and angularity of the fonts - they look just perfect.

We did not have any complaints about the color reproduction and contrast of the display. We also checked the screen while loading the device and did not detect any distortion and light on the edges. In general, we liked the display of the device, but the upper threshold of brightness could be slightly increased in order to comfortably use the device in direct sunlight.

The external speaker Ulefone Armor 6 is characterized by medium volume, but it can boast the presence of not only high but also medium frequencies. Therefore, it can be used both for sounding ringtones and for listening to music.

Connect wired headphones can only be using a special adapter, which is somewhat frustrating. However, their sound completely redeems the inconvenience of use. In this issue, Ulefone Armor 6, if it does not reach the music smartphones, then only a little.

Cons Ulefone Armor 6

The absence of a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Unfinished software.
High price
