Phone Booths Relivent or Past

Updated on May 13, 2016

Relevant

The purpose for this outside phone system seemed to be to call outside the home. However, cell phones do that. How is this old technology going to stay relevant?

1. This is the stuff of time travel in the series: Doctor Who. The doctor gets in the phone booth which takes him through time and space.

2. A way to communicate when a cell phone battery is not charged.

3. Converting the small space into a tiny office.

4. Fans of Superman. Where else will he get dressed?

The phone booth can be seen in mostly in New York and London.

Past

This technology has been used in the past but it is past its' time. The small both are taking too much space on the streets. Crowded streets have little space for this type of technology that is hardly being used today.

Doctor Who and Superman are both characters that are able to re-event themselves using other technologies. Doctor Who should be smart enough to realize that a phone booth would stand out. And, Superman is fast enough to change, anywhere.

Using this technology for office space would only waste space. This will cause the person to be cramped in a tiny space.

The Future

The booth is used to office work. The office space is a little bigger than a phone booth in most cases. This provides a private environment for those that want to be out in the open but do not want to have their office to the side of the wall. Or, maybe they don't want to set in the same desk.
