Protecting your computer with Virtual Sandbox Software

Updated on January 6, 2010

Getting the protection you need

Everyone needs protection, especially users of Windows computers. While Windows and Microsoft try to charge us an arm and a leg for things that are unavoidable, many people are going over to different platforms such as Mac and Linux. For those stuck with Windows and their crappy computer service, here are a few ideas to keep your information and computer itself safe from malicious activity.

Artificial Dynamics SafeSpace

Artificial Dynamics Safespace

Artificial Dynamics has created software called SafeSpace. There are different types of SafeSpace software available to the public. The one I currently use is the personal edition, which is free. This software protects your computer from viruses, spyware, information theft, registry changes, etc. SafeSpace has access to all the files on your computer but it creates a virtual realm that doesn't allow anything to get into your information on your computer, or any changes that may harm your physical computer. This is a great free download that can protect your computer from threats easily. Its one of the best free security programs available online today. Sure, you may have anti-virus software installed on your computer, but sometimes that anti-virus software may not catch every malicious code that accesses your computer. That's where SafeSpace comes in. It keeps everything harmful out.

Sandboxie Virtual Sandbox

This is another program that will protect your computer from malicious programs utilizing the power of a virtual sandbox. This program is not as powerful as the others listed within this list, but it can protect your computer against a lot of viruses, spyware, etc. Sandboxie is free to download as well. Sometimes it may have a few glitches but nothing that will put your computer in jeopardy. Use Sandboxie to protect your computer. Using software within Sandboxie that may bring malicious codes within your computer like Lime-Wire is not a good idea. Some software may have the problem to get pass the Sandboxie security so be careful how you use this software.

Fortres Grand Corporation: Virtual Sandbox Free Edition

This free software is a powerful software that will protect your computer completely. So far, there have been no reports of anyone receiving malicious codes while using this software. Using free software may leave you feeling uneasy, but this program is just as powerful as SafeSpace (which is compared to Bufferzone). Although SafeSpace is powerful, this virtual security sandbox software will give you a similar level of protection and will leave you feeling comfortable every time you use your computer. No one should feel unsafe when using the internet, and Fortres Grand Corporation offers the protection that you need, especially with the rising amount of viruses threatening Windows computer users.

Just like SafeSpace, this program does not allow access to any information on your computer. This brings a much higher level of comfort for the Windows computer user. In the scenario that this software were to be penetrated, the virtual environment will most likely not have any valuable information within it, leaving attackers retrieving with nothing. This program doesn't need any configurations, no updates, no virus database updates or anything. This simple software protects against everything. The Home Edition software is free. The Business Edition software is cheap.
