Quotes from The Visionary

I want to put a ding in the Universe.

Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.

Be a yardstick of quality. Some people are not used to an environment where excellence is expected.

I would trade all of my technology for and afternoon with Soccrates.

Quality is more important than quantity. One home run is better than two doubles.

Steve Job's Accomplishments

This list in no way implies that these are Steve Jobs' only accomplishments. His accomplishments are too numerous to mention but, Steve Jobs should be very proud of his inventions. This list is in no certain order. He had so many accomplishments, and after reading to learn more about him, I found out that he was an amazing man!

On the contrary, this is a short list of some of his top accomplishments. He was very intelligent and this list is just a tidbit of what he developed in his fascinating time at the top of the tech world. His inventions are very intelligent and they are also created very sleek looking. He always wanted each device that he invented to have a clean and stylish look to it. He really knew what to put on the market that would be a best seller.

Steve Jobs helped found the Apple Computer Corporation. He also invented the MacIntosh and Apple II computers for personal home use. This was huge because, it changes our world completely. This was the first home computer. He was able to create a way for many people to work from home. He also really helped the internet industry, as far as setting up home and office/business internet. In essence, this is first line of home computers. He was a pioneer with controllers, games, interface and graphic design. Then the evolution of computers to smaller laptops, tablets and the list goes on and on. Everything to do with computers, he started and created.

iPod and iPhone: Steve Jobs started the portable music industry as far as coming up with a way for us to listen to music in a slender device and then could get rid of CD's and have more room. He invented the touch screen which in turn led to his amazing iPhone invention. Before the iPhone/smart phone, I remember everyone getting their information from a flip phone. The information was slow in down loading, if it down loaded at all. Texting also became so much easier.

iPad: The iPad was like carrying the internet around in a pocket planner, touch screen and changing screens is as quick as changing television channels. Mr. Jobs invented a 10 hour battery. I use this device every day for many thing including: internet, notes, calculator, videos and more. The speed and elegance is pure perfection, just what you would expect from Steve Jobs. The inventions that Steve Jobs has come out with is absolutely unbelievable.

iTunes: iTunes was the first online legal music download community and it worked great thanks to Jobs. This idea has sprouted into a music and video revolution. Automobiles now come equipped with MP3 hookups which are slowly making compact discs more useless. iTunes lets you personalize your music. It will also allow you the ability to create your own play lists from your favorite songs.

5. App Store: The App Store is on the iPhone, iPod and iPad and it has games for purchase and also free games for customers. Personally, I have visited the Apple store in person and loved the experience. You have to go online and book an appointment which seems strange. Otherwise, that store is full of class. The store makes the possibilities endless and I think that is what Steve Jobs was looking to accomplish.

6. Pixar, Inc: Steve Jobs joined forces with Disney to form Pixar, which brought computer graphics to cartoon films such as Toy Story. This company raised the bar on how animated films should be presented for the future.

7. USB Power Adapter: The USB allows integration between your devices and it also allows you to charge your devices in computers, cars and home power outlets. This invention is amazing and helps in so many ways. It really is quite convenient to be able to charge your phone, your tablet, your computer and many other devices.

Steve Jobs was a true Inventor

Steve Jobs was born in California and the computer and music industry owes a big debt to this man and his genius. Two words can describe Job and his Apple products. Simplicity and Style. All of his products are simple and user friendly. Anyone who has an iPad or MacBook knows all about the style and elegance that is built into his product designs. Steve Jobs thought that products should be easy to use and he also integrated his products together. His items cost a little more but, the products that he designed were superior to the competition. One thing about this guy is he never quit till he got it right. Jobs did not like CD trays on computers so he invented a trayless CD and DVD system. Over the years Jobs decided to make Apple stores, which are very elegant and beautiful. Along with Bill Gates, Jobs is the most respected computer king in history. He was known as a sturdy no non sense boss but, that is the reason he got things done. His drive and will were second to none and therefore, his products were amazing and he will always be a technology master in the minds of everyone. R.I.P. Steve Jobs.

Plus drug user and College Drop out! I say that not to disparage but to point out that a lot of what we are told we must do doesn't matter. Success is accomplished by driving yourself, taking risks, and not giving up or giving in.

I agree with you, Jobs invented great technology that makes our lives much easier, beautiful and enjoyable. His designs are awesome and its usability unquestionable. I don't know what I'd do without my iPod!!!!! I have used it every single day since I got it as a birthday present in 2005 and it is still working perfectly.

Interesting to read this brief summary as I am just starting to read Steve Job's biography.
