The New Samsung Galaxy S10

Samsung's new flagship smartphone, which is the S10 is more likely to be released in the early months of 2019. To be more specific we can most likely see it in the upcoming tech conference, the MWC that take place between 25-27 of February, which is nearly 2 months to go. Since there is not much time left. The rumors are already rolling out.

The Design

The Samsung Galaxy S10 is said to feature an all rounded display with minimalistic bezels that is similar to the iPhone X. To catch up with the trend Samsung has decided to make significant changes to the phone's design. One of which is the use of the Infinity-O display to hide the bulging bezel seen on the iPhone X. Without making any compromises, the camera is moved to the center of the display as a pill-shaped layout. What is not clear though is the location of the earpiece. According to SamMobile, the earpiece is said to be relocated above the earpiece and is fitted within the tiny bezel. This is not yet clear though as Samsung can also use bone induction technology instead of using an earpiece. Just like all other Samsung flagships, the S10 will also have a Super AMOLED display. The display is also said to have 2K resolution.

Screen Sizes of the devices according to Ice Universe:

  • S10 Lite: 5.75 inches
  • S10: 6.11 inches
  • S10+: 6.44 inches
  • S10 5G version: 6.66 inches

Instead of a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, the S10 will have an in-screen fingerprint reader. Samsung is most likely to use the best sensor available by Qualcomm for their fingerprint reader. Face recognition in the phone is not yet confirmed. But it is revealed that Samsung has joined together with Mantis Vision to bring in a 3D face scanner for their new phone.
