Samsung Galaxy Y vs Karbonn A7
I’m going to compare the latest Karbonn A7 with the hot selling Galaxy Y. Galaxy Y is an entry level Android smartphone from Samsung at a very affordable price. It has been selling large quantities all over the world. So will the new Karbonn A7, which is a slider phone, be able to make a dent in Samsung’s sales. Let’s find out!

Both the phones run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. But the Karbonn A7 runs on the latest version, 2.3.6, whereas Galaxy Y is running on 2.3.5.
The Galaxy Y runs on 830 MHz ARMv6 processor. The Galaxy Y beats the Karbonn A7 here by a minute margin. The Karbonn A7 runs on a 800 MHz processor.
Screen and Display
The Galaxy Y has a 3-inch capacitative touchscreen, whereas the Karbonn A7 has a 3.5-inch capacitative touchscreen. And the display resolution of the Karbonn A7 is more than that of the Galaxy Y. Karbonn A7’s resolution is 320x480 whereas Galaxy Y has a resolution of 240x320. This will allow you to see crisper images and brighter colors.
Both the phones support 2G and 3G networks. (Karbonn A7 – 3G not yet confirmed)
Both the phones have all the features of high-end phones. They have Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, 32 GB expandable memory and many more.
This is the category where the Samsung Galaxy Y is made to look like a kid holding a lollipop. The Galaxy Y has a camera of 2 megapixels with no other additional features. But the Karbonn A7 has a 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. This lets you take great photos even in dim light.
The Galaxy Y has a battery of 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery. But the Karbonn A7 takes away this category too. It has a 1420 mAh battery. So overall it’s supposed to give you more talk time and stand-by time.

Karbonn A7 has a front camera which allows the feature of video calling. Galaxy Y doesn't have the front camera. Karbonn A7 also has 512 MB of RAM whereas Galaxy Y has only 290 MB of RAM available to the user. So Karbonn A7 wins here too.
