Odin Device Support

Odin is a Windows based application (Only Windows) which caters more number of Samsung device models. As it is updated to a modernized tool version 3.11.2, Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge, S6/S6 Edge and many more new models are supported for Odin. But you must need a Windows operated PC to Download Odin and direct download on your Samsung is still not available with Odin.

Flash Samsung Stock ROM with Odin

Even though you have no risk for the device warranty in flashing a custom ROM with Odin, there is a chance to lose your data. So a complete backup is highly recommended before you start processing. And it is must to have high caution throughout the process.

Please Consider:

  • Have a complete backup of your device’s data
  • Be prepared with a Windows PC and a proper USB cable
  • Set up Samsung USB Drivers on Windows PC
  • Download Stock ROM by checking device support and extract on the PC

If you are fine with above, power off our Samsung. To put it on Download Mode press and hold Volume Down, Home and Power buttons. When you device starts vibrating leave only power while keep holding other two. Then you will get a warning triangle, where you have to press Volume Up to continue.

Step Guide

  • Step 1: Download Samsung Odin (v3.11.2) and extract on the PC (Use official links)
  • Step 2: From the extracted file open “Odin exe” connect your Samsung Phone or Tablet to the PC
  • Step 3: Then you will see an “Added” message in the left panel to say Odin has discovered your device
  • Step 4: After your device gets detected, click on “PDA” and select “tar.md5”
  • Step 5: Now hit “Start” and go ahead with flashing
  • Step 6: When you see a green “Pass” message you can detach the device. It will then start rebooting. So wait until things are done
  • Step 7: then you will note your device is in a boot loop. So boot into Stock Recovery Mode (Press and Hold Volume Up+ Home and Power buttons. Then leave Power when your Phone or Tablet vibrates but keep holding Volume Up and Home)
  • Step 8: In Recovery Mode, hit “wipe data/factory reset” from the options and wait
  • Step 9: If done, restart
  • Step 10: So now your Samsung is with new Stock ROM installed with Odin
