Become a Master Search Engine Optimization Maverick in One Hour

Everyone that owns a website wants to rank better for their main keywords so much so that they will go out of their way, spending many hours learning search engine optimization or hiring out a company.

The best part about search engine optimization is that you can learn a majority of the main elements and get started with ranking your website (or others) within an hour.

Are you ready to become a search engine optimization maverick?

Become the master of your keywords

Keywords are the essential elements and key factors for ranking well in search engines - it's one of the main focuses of SEO.

Because of their vital importance, keywords should be chosen based on the content and niche of your website. Choosing the right keywords doesn't have to be a difficult task; in fact, it's quite easy to choose keywords with the right tools.

Here are 4 keyword tools to become a master of keyword selection:

  • Google Free Keyword Tool
  • Wordstream
  • Wordtracker
  • SEOBook's Keyword Tool

Use one (or all) of these keyword tools, plug in the main keyword you plan to rank for. Afterward, check the competition of other websites trying to rank for them and finally, keep a running log of each of these words which you'll want to rank well for.

Become the master of producing content

Great content spreads fast across the web which places a high importance of continually producing new, powerful content for your website.

When creating content aim for a keyword rich article (using the tools previously mentioned) throughout each section including the: title, description, headings, alt tags and links.

An equally important aspect of producing content is to go after the viral effect of the social web.

Some great examples of viral content are:

  • How-to's
  • Lists (like top 10's)
  • Interviews

After you create great content be sure to promote it through various platforms like social bookmarking websites, social networking and web 2.0 websites.

Guest post on other websites and blogs

Backlinks are great - not only do they build your search engine rankings but also help drive traffic from people clicking your links.

The problem is that many don't want to divulge the secrets to building highly powerful backlinks. Well here's the thing: write great content on websites and blogs within your niche.

Simply reach out to other website owners and offer to produce content on their websites or blogs. This guest article will place your link back to your website, raising the strength of your rankings and builds a strong search engine optimization campaign.

Become the master of link building

Building links is the third tier of creating a highly search engine optimized website. Link building is one element which may scare you because it requires going to other websites and networking with others.

Contrary to the fact, link building is much easier than you may think.

Here are a few ways you can becoming a link building master:

  • Comment on other blogs
  • Submit content to social bookmarking websites
  • Write content for other websites

Between building blinks through your own efforts, connect with others through email and social media to trade links, write for their websites and gain a valuable backlink.

In reality, these three elements of search engine optimization are the main factors you should be focusing on when running your own SEO campaign.

These three elements are the most rewarding but there are certainly other factors which you may continue to learn more about or outsource to an SEO company.

Within a single hour of practicing and implementing these techniques, you'll master search engine optimization and begin your journey of reaching number one in search engine results.

Use Youtube to rank well for keywords

Youtube videos are a great way to build great content, viewers and traffic by leaving your link.

Although, the real strength of creating videos for Youtube is how well they rank in search engines for your main keywords.

Where a website may have high search engine optimization making it nearly impossible to rank the same - creating a Youtube video will be listed in search engine results over time as it builds up its views. With your video in place, it's much like building a high ranking web page; people will watch your video, click your link and send you free traffic.

Just be sure to use your main keywords in the title, description and tags so when search engines pick up your video it will rank well in the results.

Create link wheels with article directories

Most understand the idea of submitting articles to article directories to build a backlink and traffic - this technique is fine but it doesn't have the scalability in comparison to link wheels.

Link wheels are a collection of articles, websites and other web properties that not only point to your website but also to another article within the wheel.

When search engines index one article it will follow through to your website and to articles within the link wheel. As it cycles through the link wheel, SEO juice will continue to pass on between each of these articles sending a heavy ranking back to your own website.

I agree that YouTube has "the" power in getting free and high quality traffic back to your articles. The only flaw is that they are not do-follow which would have resulted better search engine optimization.

If we put the links in the annotations within the video and if the video goes viral, then yes, we can really succeed now.

Voted up and really really useful.

      Thnaks!
