Send Photo Postcards Free With Samsung and Touchnote

Updated on August 6, 2012

Start now, it's easy:

Create your free postcard now!

Feel free to share the link with family and friends. Fun!

Free Offer

With free on the table, I have to share this offer from Samsung and Touchnote. Touchnote, founded in 2008, allows people to relive their memories by sharing their photos as postcards. Free until August 31, 2012, people can each send one free personalized photo postcard! The free offer results from the Touchnote and Samsung partnership "Share Great Moments".

I learned about the offer through an email newsletter I regularly receive from a freebies site. I just created my free postcard for my mom and it will be mailed tomorrow! I will help guide you through the process to create your own card.

What You Will Need:

  • Digital photo
  • Physical address for recipient of postcard
  • Ideas for caption and card message
  • Latest version of Flash software to download photo

Samsung and the Olympics

The promotion is available to users worldwide. Samsung teams up with Touchnote as a nod to the Olympic Games. Share in the fun of the games! There are certainly some photos already taken of the Olympics that would serve as great covers for postcards.

Create the Postcard

Follow the easy prompts from the top link in the blue box. Please note that there is only one free postcard per person. Create cards on your computer or by mobile.

Make sure you start by creating your free Touchnote account. I made the mistake of creating my postcard before opening an account through the site and my creation was erased when I had to stop to open an account. Do not lose your hard work like I did!

To create an account, select the Sign up button from the top menu. Create your account by signing into Facebook or by entering your email address to manually fill out the information. I chose the email option as I did not want to share my Facebook details with Touchnote for Privacy reasons.

Follow the prompts to finish creating your account. If you already have a Touchnote account, simply select Sign in from the top menu.

Great Reasons to Send Postcards:

  • You are away on a trip and want to touch base
  • To celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions
  • To reach out to a family member, friend, or other special person in your life
  • Send one to yourself for fun mail!

Steps To Create the Postcard

Once your account is created, you can begin the process of creating your own postcard.

Choose Photo

Upload the image from your computer by clicking the bright sun photo on your screen. You can modify your photo as well with a few easy clicks of buttons:

  • Rotate photo clockwise or counter-clockwise
  • Zoom in or out
  • Move photo by click of mouse onto photo
  • Write text for speech bubble within the photo
  • Write text for a caption

For the photo of my mom and me, I zoomed in and also wrote a caption. As it is her birthday this month, I wrote a Happy Birthday message.

Write a Message

Another part of the postcard is the message. The photo with caption is on the front, while the message and address for recipient is on the back of the postcard.

I wrote a related birthday message and adjusted font and text colour to personalize the message.

Preview the message using the blue Preview button to make sure the text looks suitable. The lines are not long and may have to be broken up to look clean on the page.

Address Information

The last step is to enter the address where you want to send the card. I entered my mom's residential address.

Next, hit the Send button for your order! Touchnote sends email confirmation to your Inbox. Postcards are processed within one working day. Keep the email until you are certain your card has been delivered as it contains the reference number for your order.

According to the email, postcards are printed and then posted from the US, UK, Germany, and Australia. For residents in these areas, cards arrive within three days. Arrivals to other areas take up to three weeks.

Limited Time Samsung Offer

Given that this promotion is only on until the end of August, get started on your own card today. What a great way to say hello, congratulations, or another positive sentiment to someone in your life!
