Shopping Online at Many Stores using

Updated on February 4, 2010

Shopping Mulitple Stores with

This is a new, nifty shopping tool for onliners. Go to Enter the item you are shopping for. Press search. The result are all the stores carrying the item you need or something related to it. All the big stores are searched and only those carrying the search item will display.

Then, click on the store link and it will take you to the item and price etc. Don't like it? try another store listed in the results, maybe you can find a better price! You can also shop for friends by saving the results and sending them so they can check it ou. You can virtually find any store carrying what you are looking for.

I tried a couple specific book titles and several stores were listed where I looked for the cheapest price between them. I did the same for the Apple iPhone. Again, any electronic store that carried it popped up. I quickly "flitted" between  Frys, Target, Amazon, newegg and others to find the lowest price. In some cases, the iPhone was not there, but many related items to it were. You can also alternate between value stores, like K-Mart, Target or high end stores, like Calvin Klein, Lands End, J. Crew.

So, the moral of the story is: instead of going to the mall first and looking, just Flit. It may save you a trip from one store to the other looking for the cheapest deal from your computer or cell phone
