Spyware for Mobile Phones

Updated on January 6, 2011

Whether you're checking on your children, employees or a spouse, spyware for mobile phones is a great way of tracking usage.  There are many packages on the market right now and for a fixed term subscription, they offer the best way to track a smart phone remotely.

These applications are usually downloaded and can be installed to a device with just a few minutes.  They operate on any of the major smart phones such as Blackberry, iPhone and all Android phones.  Operating in the background, the smart phone user is complately unaware that there is even spyware on the phone.

Mobile Spyware Paqckages differ but most have the capability of storing call logs, text messages and browser histories.  Some of the more advanced mobile phone spyware offers information on location using GPS, the ability to review photos and movies from the device and full contact directories.  This offers employers a great way to track phone usage of employees to ensure usage policies are adhered to.

Access to the information is usually gained via a control panel.  This control panel can be accessed via a username and password from anywhere on the globe and gives information in real time.  If you are worried that your spouse is cheating, you have a number of options.  Track all text messages and you get to read both incoming and outgoing.  You may just be worried that your spouse is not where they should be.  You can track their movements via GPS!

These packages are also great for people who like to back up information on ther smart phone.  People increasingly store important information on these devices then manually back it up on a home PC or laptop.  Installing this software on your own phone will ensure that ALL of your information is backed up on a regular basis - no need to remember!

It is important to remember that local privacy laws should be adhered to.  You should not be tracking a phone where you have no permission or legal reason to do so.  However, many nervous parents will be able to rest east knowing that the movements and communications of their children will now be monitored.
