Smart Thermostat

The Smart Thermostat is a home thermostat that controls heating and cooling of a home with an extra kick. You no longer have to manually set your controls and turn the unit on and off manually. With this thermostat, you can preset it to come on at different times and temps, as well as, control the thermostat from the internet with an I-phone or an I-pad.

You do not even have to be home in order to adjust or turn on the Smart Thermostat. This neat device, set the stage for the future of "Smart" technology. It is not just for phones and computers anymore.

Cast your vote for NASA Ares Rocket

NASA Ares Rockets

NASA basically improved and somewhat recreated their space shuttle rocket systems by improving the engine, making the rocket much lighter, updating all computer systems, and making the rockets 10 times more safe than ever before. This is obviously going to outer space which can be a dangerous.

The downside to this updated version of spacecraft is the outlandish amount of cash it takes to build. Anytime we can do a space mission with higher safety standards then I am all for it.

Electric Eye

The Electric Eye is a small chip that is implanted on the eyes of the blind and when they wear special glasses they can make out certain images such as that of different people. Who would have ever thought that the blind would be able to see based on computer chips, cameras and hi-tech eye wear.

The microchip is built in the center of a titanium casing which helps prevent damage from liquid. This is just the first step in helping the blindness in the world get eradicated. What a concept and what an outstanding invention as well.

Custom Puppy

Some agree with cloning and some do not but this Custom Puppy is a genetically formed copy cat of an original. A pet owner can get a replica if you will of their original canine for around a ridiculous $150,000.

This can be a good or a bad thing I guess but let me say that this company made several clones of the search and rescue dogs from the horrible 9/11 attacks and those dogs are great at helping save lives.

Tank-Bred Tuna

Tank-Bred Tuna is a big deal for several reasons especially because it attempts to help conserve bluefish. It is one thing for these tuna to breed in a cages descended into the ocean but to entice and encourage these fellas to mate if you will in an enclosed tank is remarkable.

Growing this Tuna in a clean environment without the early dangers of sea predators and other oceanic issues is hard enough but to help protect the future of the blue fish

Controller-Less Gaming

A little while before Nintendo tried it Microsoft introduced video gaming without controllers. This innovation lets a player control game playing with their voice and the different movements of their arms, legs and body.

Throw a punch and the games character does likewise and so on. This device uses lots of cameras, microphones and Microsoft software in order to accomplish what used to be the unthinkable and only a gamers daydream. Bravo Xbox.

AIDS Vaccine

The AIDS Vaccination is not a cure but it is a step in the right direction. This immunization was designed with the intent of preventing a person from getting HIV. In all actuality the effects of this vaccine seem kind of small and also it has not reached human testing but it is an honest effort to kill a deadly disease.

Two shots were given to lab rats that were then infected with HIV and over a six year trial it showed that a high percentage of thee rats were somehow immune to the deadly disease.

Bladeless Fan

The Bladeless Fan or Air Multiplier is a fan that sucks air through vents at the base of the fan and then it is shot through the circular ring with an impeller that is disguised in the device which keeps a steady stream of cold air coming at you.

This fan is safer than regular fans with blades and far easier to clean. Another good thing about these newer style fans is that you steel have low, medium and high speed functions and these fans tilt just like their contemporaries.

Robot Penguin

The Robo-Penguin is called "AquaPenguin" and it flies underwater the same way an eagle soars the skies.

Robo-Penguin

These Android Penguins can do everything that a real penguin can do plus it can swim backwards and it is equipped with a 3D device that allows it to avoid colliding with any obstructions including other penguins.

These guys can travel at very fast speeds and still turn like a corvette on a mountainside. Their is no telling what other areas of animal life that we will find a way to turn into robots. I'm loving it.

Planetary Skin

Planetary Skin was developed partially by NASA and its function is to combat Global Warming.

Planetary Skin

The goal of "Planetary Skin" is to fight against Global Warming. This device puts all integral information together from across the world about land, air, and water from sensors making it easier to study and completely monitor global warming issues.

With this invention data from environments all over the planet can be collected and put together.
