iPad

Apple came out with the iPad and it really was amazing. Imagine a lap top without a keyboard. Surf the web, take pictures and do everything an iPhone can do except on a larger scale. Also, no mouse needed just navigate with your finger. Surfing the web has never been faster. Once you visit websites with an iPad it makes lap tops seem painfully slow.

One cool thing is that he iPad can run for 8 hours on one single charge. This tablet does it all without a mouse and it uses a virtual keyboard. With this device you got iTunes, App store, Internet, Face Time and much, much more.

Cast your vote for Driver Free Car

Google Driver-Free Car

The driver-less car is an out of this world invention. Be real with it. Who would have thought it would be possible? These cars have a 3D mapper on top called a 64-beam laser which allows the automobile to know its surroundings from afar. The robotic car has sensors that help it prevent wrecking and cameras built in all over the car.

90% of these cars are and will be electric, self drivers. The future is so bright I've got to wear shades, is what comes to mind with these "smart" cars. I am sure they will be expensive and cater to the upper class but eventually they will be the standard at all new car lots. Watch and see.

Lab Grown Lungs

Lungs have been grown in a lab using the skeletal lung of a rat along with blood vessels and many other items such a collagen, stem cells and lots of nutrients. Inhaling and exhaling of these redone lungs, was a success and human trials should be forthcoming.

This invention is huge because, it relates to the medical field. The ultimate goal is for this to be just the beginning of trying to help patients with lung cancer.

English Teaching Robot

These robots are popping up all over South Korea and now Japan as well. The Bot rolls on wheels around the classroom and they are equipped with software for teaching the English language. It speaks aloud and even asks questions of the students. This robot is controlled by remote by a teacher (usually from a country away). The English Teaching Robot has an auto mode where it can teach people on its own. It is shaped like a huge egg with a human face on it.

Many people fear that these Androids will replace human teachers altogether one day.

Iron Man Suit

The Iron Man Suit is actually called "XOS2" and it is for use in the military only....so far. This body armor is truly an Iron Man suit and it allows soldiers to lift 2-300 pounds with zero effort as the suit does all the heavy lifting. One of the great things about this invention is that it can be used to save lives.

This suit can be use with soldiers wearing it, of course, to punch through thick wood and concrete with ease and the operator does not even get a scratch.

Spray-On Fabric

Spray-On Fabric is aptly named "Fabrican". The material that is sprayed is produced from Polymer. The garments come out in clothing form and they can be washed, dried and worn over and over again. Wow! Simply spray the loaded can onto a human's body and the material bonds together in mere seconds.

No telling where it goes from here but if you can spray clothing then what else can be sprayed out in a similar fashion? Maybe the medical field or the auto industry?

EyeWriter (Video)

EyeWriter

The EyeWriter helps people who are paralyzed. It is built with eye tracking and drawing software that makes it possible for someone to draw with their eye movements. A huge breakthrough that can lead to many more innovations from this technology.

A tiny camera follows eye movements and puts what the brain wants drawn into text. Another amazing invention that can lead to much bigger things down the road.

Mosquito Laser

The Mosquito Laser is aimed at helping to eradicate malaria in countries that still have that disease. At the current time the device being experimented with is called a Photonic Fence which can detect female, malaria carrying insects and shoot them dead with a blu-ray laser from up to 100 feet out.

This laser is able to kill between 50-100 mosquitos per second and even though this device can not end malaria on its own it is a step in the right direction.

Edison2

The Edison2 weighs under 1000 pounds and can get 100 MPG. The automobile began in Virginia and that is the headquarters as well. Their are two types of Edison2, a smaller 2 passenger car and a larger 4 person ride.

This odd looking car is a safety first ride and it has an in wheel suspension as well as cameras. These new designed cars actually are powered by a one cylinder engine. It also came out with a total electric drivetrain.

Straddling Bus

The Straddling Bus is roughly 14 feet high and it covers two lanes on the highway. The kicker is hat cars that are under 6.6 feet tall can go under the bus at stops and continue on their route.

These humongous buses go 37 MPH and they carry up to 1200 passengers at once! This bus, supposedly could do the job of 40 standard buses and therefore would save tons of fuel and money.
