The Journey To Nokia World 2011

Well I suppose this could quite easily be a metaphoric sort of piece, on how I came to be invited to Nokia World due to my involvement on the Nokia Support Discussions forum, but it's really just a short piece, that I hope to edit during my journey from Leeds to London with @psychomania666 for our visit to Nokia World 2011, just somewhere to post a couple of snaps and to record the start of , what for me is, a great event in my life.

So that's about it really, I plan to take a couple of pictures on the way, and either using 3G on my booklet, or the promised wifi on the East Coast train http://www.eastcoast.co.uk/our-destinations/ hope to upload them and publish this as a hub, more as a bit of a rehearsal for mobile blogging, rather than a major article, and something for me to remember. If it doesn't work then I'll use the internet in the Marriott West India Quay http://www.marriott.co.uk/hotels/travel/loncw-london-marriott-hotel-west-india-quay/ when we finally arrive. I'm absolutely thrilled to be attending and really looking forward to the social aspect as much as the event itself, as we get nearer and nearer to the actual event the buzz is really building up and I'm certain everyone will have a great time, and hopefully see some great new kit and hear lots of positive and encouraging news from Nokia. For anyone on Twitter, the official hashtag, as far as I know, is #NokiaWorld and doing a search using it should fill your timeline with news and views of the event over the next couple of days, anyone with a dislike for either Nokia, Windows Phone, Microsoft or Technology in general, should avoid using it at all costs :)

So it's goodbye for now and hopefully something a little more interesting may appear over the next few days,

Thanks for taking the time to read this bit of nonsense,

catch you later.

The Evening Before

So had a great day, everything organised really well, Nokia have been extremely generous, and I've met some great people from all over the world !! I've managed to catch up with my daughter Nichola briefly, seen some great new and due to be new, handsets :) This is simply a quick add on to my journey, which starts for real at 7AM tomorrow, when we get up and organised for the keynote at Nokia World, these are just a few photos taken in the hotel and a couple of bars whilst out tonight, nothing special, but thought tagging them on to this post, the simplest way to put them on the web, not edited or tagged, just a few photo's of people having a good time :)

Footnote, actually tried to add more pics after evening out and had connection issues, so , a couple of weeks late, I thought I'd try and finish this post off rather than leaving it 'floating' sojust added a few pics, some of which may be repeated from my 'People of Nokia World' post and some of which are stolen from @krizanand :)
