The Latest and Greatest Websites That You Must Check Out - PEARLTREES
So new, people still aren't quiet sure how to use it, but that's not a bad thing!
Pearltrees is a new web and social site made for those that want to keep track of the sites they like to visit, or want to get back to for various research purposes. Facebook once held a place in net-users eyes for the ability to post sites they like on their pages to come back to later. Though after all the buzz caught up and facebook became ultra popular for creating viral news, it lost it's ability to keep track of everything a person posts on their page, and there isn't a way to simple search the content of your own wall (which there might be in the future if any facebook geeks are paying attention to my posts). So for now, Pearltrees is corning the market in online interactive data storing, in a unique format that resembles a Mind-Map or even a global Family Tree of information.
It's entirely unique, surprisingly easy to use and yet still so new that most users (including myself) have yet to unlock and play with all it's features. Though that's not necessarily a bad thing, as it keep some of the mystery alive and with the potential for future revenue, this site isn't one to be missed.
In fact, I predict it will quickly become a popular trend to rival twitter AND facebook in it's own unique way, but not in a way to diminish those sites, more to compliment them.
It's better to see it for yourself.
Instead of trying to explain the exciting complexity of Pearltrees, I'm simply going to suggest that you check out the site for yourself. It's completely free and easy to use, and I bet that once you get into it, you'll find yourself with enough pearls to make a metaphorical pearl necklace in no time!
