The last update on Facebook allows video to be viewed in a separate window

Updated on February 17, 2017

The last update encourage the customers to watch videos

Facebook does everything possible to encourage its customers to watch more videos in the social network. The last update is targeting exactly that. From now on you can put any video from Facebook in a separate small window-like picture-in-picture mode and continue browsing your News Feed. This useful function works even when you close the application. In this way you will be able to enjoy a video while using other applications.

The new features

The second part of the update is not as intriguing as the first. From now on, whenever you encounter a video it will start playing automatically the included sound that will fade when you scroll down. This option could save you some time since you will not have to manually switch on the sound whenever you want to hear it, but I guess it can become slightly annoying at times. For example, imagine that you are in a public place and suddenly a video starts playing in a maximum volume, which can put you in an awkward situation. Fortunately, you can turn off this option by turning on silent mode on your phone or disable it in the settings.

Finally let me mention that soon there will be a new viral Video application that suits platforms such as Samsung Smart TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and others.
