The Microsoft Word Keyboard Alphabet

I love keyboard shortcuts. I find that they massively improve my productivity when working with Microsoft applications.

Because of this I thought I would put together a fun article walking through the letters on the keyboard and the actions they perform within Microsoft Word.

Now keyboard shortcuts are not limited to just these. There are loads more including the keyboards function keys and incorporating the Alt and Shift keys into the combination too.

The list below follows the order of the letters on a QWERTY keyboard.

Ctrl + Q - Clear Paragraph Formatting

Ctrl + W - Close Document

Ctrl + E - Centre Align

Ctrl + R - Right Align

Ctrl + T - Hanging Indent

Ctrl + Y - Redo

Ctrl + U - Underline

Ctrl + I - Italics

Ctrl + O - Open Document

Ctrl + P - Print

Ctrl + A - Select All

Ctrl + S - Save

Ctrl + D - Opens the Font Dialogue Box

Ctrl + F - Find

Ctrl + G - Go To

Ctrl + H - Replace

Ctrl + J - Justify

Ctrl + K - Insert Hyperlink

Ctrl + L - Left Align

Ctrl + Z - Undo

Ctrl + X - Cut

Ctrl + C - Copy

Ctrl + V - Paste

Ctrl + B - Bold

Ctrl + N - New Document

      I must try using more of them. I do use the ones for Save, Copy and Paste - none of the others.
