Nowadays, people are putting their content more on digital platform as digitalization is the new trend. Internet is mastering the world. Social media is taking a new turn altogether. And if you are planning to create something on an online digital platform, then it is a difficult task to get your content viewed by many people. At such times, social media promotion helps. But are you using social media wisely to help your content reach people? So here are some tips which I myself imply on how exactly to promote your content on social media.

Share with your Inner Circle

Your inner circle is your asset. This includes all those who are close to you and support you. You can request your relatives, close friends and colleagues to share your content with others. And if they are supportive enough, they will never deny you. Be flexible with their choice and ensure that they are not feeling forced to do so. The right people will share your content even if you don't ask them to.

Timing of Promoting in Social Media

The biggest mistake we all do is, sharing our content simultaneously on all social media platforms. No! When you share your article in the social media, do not share the same post on all the social media channels at the same time. Go one by one. If you start with sharing on WhatsApp, then share on your Facebook timeline after a good gap of an hour. And then eventually on other platforms too. This will help you get more views on articles as audience varies at different platforms. And the audience engagement will also increase.

Tweak the Article Title Each Time

Whenever you are sharing a post on social media platforms, you should never write the same title or summary while promoting it. The reason behind the same is that, it does not give a good feeling to your audience who may be connected with you on two or more social media channels. Instead, add something that is unique each time while you are promoting. This will help you in creating several backlinks for your article and it will definitely help in the longer run as per social media optimization techniques.

Always remember that audience likes to read different piece each time

Special Tip for Promoting on Pinterest

Pinterest is one of the trending platforms of social media. But people are underestimating the power of Pinterest. If used wisely, getting audience on Pinterest is easy. Even if you are not an active Pinterest user, you can soon reach a large number of people on Pinterest. This becomes easier when you share your photographs embedded in your article. While sharing those photographs, create a different title and add a different summary to your Pinterest post. Use your creativity in Pinterest and you will see wonderful results on this platform.

Reciprocate to your Audience

Last but not the least, it is important to communicate with your audience. Always express your gratitude to each person who adds a comment below your article and who shares it. In this way you are ensuring that the person will be more likely to visit your next article because of your appreciation for his efforts. If that person has left a link in your comment box and it doesn’t seem to be a spam then it will be really beneficial to go to that person’s website or page and add your comment with a link back to your article. This is a two-way engagement process. You and your audience, both are benefitted by this.

Your audience itself is your key to be a successful content creator

There are numerous such techniques experienced by different people to promote their content and reach out to more people. These are some tips which I have learned by my personal experience and do apply for my own articles and posts. Of course you all might be aware of many more such techniques. Do not forget to share your wonderful and practical tips in the comments section.

Being social is always good for getting wider on publicity. When we get more publicity for our articles, we get more encouragement for further writing. It is good to have a social media plan for reaching the masses with very low costs and wider outreach. Thank you, Ms Natasha, for giving useful insights on these aspects.
