Top 10 Best Ways to Get More Likes on Facebook

Updated on May 20, 2014

Facebook currently has billions of active users and the community is growing in a fast and steady pace. Its power in reaching out to enormous amounts of people in a blink of an eye is one of the main factors that attracted businesses to use Facebook as a tool in marketing their products and services. If you are among the many who are interested about lead generation and eventually earning on Facebook, you’ll surely benefit from browsing through this list of the Top 10 Best Ways to Get More Likes on Facebook.

Always remember that online marketing is not something you can perfectly carry out in one try especially if you decide to use social media platforms like Facebook in the process. People’s likes and dislikes drastically changes within a small period of time. Always keep in mind that It’s not about creating a perfect Facebook page but one that can cope with the changes and still remain on top through the years. Good luck and I hope the tips stressed out in this hub help you gain thousands of Facebook likes!

A better plan means a better chance in creating an efficient Facebook page.
A better plan means a better chance in creating an efficient Facebook page.

Never create a Facebook page without formulating a realistic and systematized plan. Set up goals and include various strategies that can help you achieve each one of them. Often than not, Facebook pages fail to get enough likes as they go astray from the right path. Their original plan was shallow and the goals they came up where either too ideal or simply impossible to obtain. Take each step one at a time and learn in the process. You may lack experience in creating an effective Facebook page for internet marketing but worry not since it is only a matter of time for you to be an expert. Be passionate about this endeavor and develop a “never say die” attitude. By following the best strategies and having a winning mind-set, a successful Facebook page is for you to achieve maybe not now but in God’s time.

Who wouldn't want to win?
Who wouldn't want to win?

A lottery exclusive to your Facebook page followers is a good idea to boost its performance in no time. Who would miss a chance to gain something worthwhile by simply pressing a button? Nonetheless, you must be extra keen in targeting the right audience as you might end up being spammed by fake accounts. A good approach is to carry out contest registrations on a different site where you can easily trace duplicate IPs and disallow spam. Simply make the site’s link only viewable to those who would like your Facebook page. Hundreds or even thousands of Facebook users will surely come rushing as long as your prizes are worthy of their time. Remember that it doesn’t always have to be money. Gift cards or discount coupons which they can use in buying products or availing premium services your business current offers are great ideas as prizes as well.

Please give us what we need!
Please give us what we need!

Be sensitive about the needs of your followers. Provide them as much as possible and in the least possible time before they find it elsewhere. Keep in mind that it only takes one push of a button to unlike your Facebook page. In the industry where hundreds of probable competitions are made every day, you should be bold enough in offering unique services and embracing changes to improve your products and services. Never stay on your safe zone or else you’ll find it hard to improve. Hundreds of Facebook pages fail simply because their followers got tired of reading the same content over and over again. The secret is being creative and having the guts to try new things. Never settle just because you currently have a thousand views. Aim higher and be determined in making your Facebook page among the most successful in all time.

Paying a few dollars to get thousand of Facebook likes is enticing. You can easily find a cheap deal regarding this service by browsing through known online job sites. Nevertheless, this approach should not be considered even as a last result since it only attracts fake accounts and those that have a slim chance of availing any of the premium services your business currently offers. There’s no point of having a Facebook account with thousands of likes if the community is made up of inactive members. The conventional way of getting more Facebook likes while targeting the right audience still introduces better results even if you only manage to attract a few hundreds. Invest on other aspects such as beatifying your Facebook page or creating exclusive content that Facebook users might be interested to know more about. We should be constantly reminded that the success of Facebook page doesn’t solely rely on how much likes it have but the community’s activity and having the right kind of members at the same time.

So you're asking me to like your Facebook Fan Page? How about no?!
So you're asking me to like your Facebook Fan Page? How about no?!

Facebook users won’t hesitate about pressing a button to like your page if they can greatly benefit from doing so. Before even launching your Facebook page, assess whether it’s worth liking or not. What exclusive content does your page offer? Is it something your targeted audience would really want? Can they find it nowhere else? Answering yes to the last two questions means your Facebook page is ready to go. Always remember that having good content plays a very big role for a Facebook page to gain more followers. Some use breathtaking photos while others post daily humor in keeping their current followers engaged and also attract more to join in the community. Regardless what strategy you apply, hard work and patience are must haves. If you fail for the first time, don’t despair but consider it as a challenge. Try once more until you finally get a hold of what your targeted audience truly seeks from a Facebook page.

In every situation, even simple acts of kindness matter most!
In every situation, even simple acts of kindness matter most!

Be polite while entertaining questions and comments posted on your Facebook page. Provide concise but sufficient replies and do it in a friendly tone even for negative feedback. Like how an old saying goes, the customer is always. Criticisms should not bring you down but instead serve as an opportunity for improvement. Look into the factor in your products or services that they deem requires enhancement and do something about it. You’ll eventually realize that their negative reaction signifies that your business’s products or services have potential. They simply want to guarantee that every penny they’ll spend on your business is worth it which is a common consumer defensive strategy especially nowadays where products and services with insufficient quality are bluntly marketed on the internet.

Be as active as this volcano in the Facebook community!
Be as active as this volcano in the Facebook community!

Spend some time to search for Facebook pages that are related to your chosen industry. But then again, avoid pages created by your rivals. Leave relevant comments on their current posts and if possible introduce your company on their community. Given you target those that are most likely interested with your products and services, it’s expected that they’ll warmly welcome you. This is the perfect method to expand your reach and spread words about your business in the least possible time. If done efficiently, it’s possible to have thousands of likes in just a few weeks! If you fail to achieve exciting results, don’t despair and continue building new relationships and searching for new outlets on your marketing campaigns in Facebook. Keep in mind that failure is not always a sign that you’re doing things wrong but sometimes an indication that you are only one step behind from achieving your goals.

This is how Facebook communities often respond to spammers!
This is how Facebook communities often respond to spammers!

Spamming is a big NO in marketing your business through a Facebook page. Never post on other pages relentlessly as it will only leave a bad impression about your site’s real intentions. You account might even be banned in the process which is the last thing you would want to happen. Facebook is a meant to be a place for anyone to communicate. Its goal is to serve as a bridge for social interactions to happen so use it for such purpose. Communicate with Facebook users as if they are your real friends. Would you annoy them with senseless statements or open up interesting conversations that can assist them in solving their present problems? Be a real friend and a trusted brand in Facebook to maximize its full potential as a tool for marketing business products and services! The road won’t be easy and involve several ups and downs. Just don’t give up and continue proving to all your current and prospect followers that your business has what it takes to be worthy of their time, effort, and money.

Time for an update!
Time for an update!

It’s not about flooding your Facebook page with hundreds of meaningless post but updating it at most once a day while assuring that each of your posts are relevant and enticing. It can be about a new product or service your company is about to release or interesting news about the industry your business is related to. Good delivery is a must. Don’t just post a link but include a brief description about it explaining its relevance and why your Facebook page likers should invest some of their time to follow through. Regular activity in your page will not only help in gathering more followers but also in keeping the ones you already have.

Be the Facebook Page version of Tom Cruise!
Be the Facebook Page version of Tom Cruise!

Imagine your Facebook profile as a bachelor and Facebook users as single women. No woman would want a guy who can’t even dress up neatly. Always remember that simply bombarding your Facebook profile with exaggerated and out-of-sync graphics won’t be good enough. Your Facebook profile photo and cover should coordinate with each other to guarantee a much harmonious and overall better look. Include important information regarding your business in the cover photo so even those who won’t like your page can see them. Gone are the days where graphics need to stand out and exaggerated. The recent trend forces us to simplify everything and if possible use basic shapes in creating business’s logos, website themes, and all sorts of graphical elements which of course includes Facebook covers and profile photos. Having no background knowledge and experience in designing is not a problem since you can hire a professional graphic artist to carry out this task. Just don’t forget to pick one that already improved hundreds of Facebook profile pages for business to assure best results.

A great guide in designing a Facebook Page logo!

Thanks for posting this hub. I'd like to ask some questions, please.

Last week, I opened a page promoting a book I have just self-published, and invited all my friends to like it. I got 3 likes on that page, and 20 for an entirely different page! When I spoke to a couple of my friends, they said they'd never gotten the notification! So I tried re-sending the invitations, but couldn't.

I went to FaceBook's Help community and posted this question, but now I can't find the question! I directed it at one of my FaceBook friends, but it's not on her profile!

What's going on here, and what can I do? Thanks!

Very helpful. I have a few more things people should probably know; especially concerning small businesses just starting out on FB:

1: FB don't care about you Mr/Mrs Small Biz. Surveys have proven that your page posts will only reach 3 - 7% of your fans. So, say you have less than 500 fans... well.. do the math. People join your page to get something back but little do they know, facebook don't allow it. sad but true.

2: Don't get discouraged yet, It gets worse. When the microscopic amount of fans who do see your posts don't interact, you will lose "edgerank" and become even less important to FB; thereby causing even less fans to see your posts.

What can you do about it?

1: its likely that your fan base just starting out mostly consists of people you know that are on your personal page. Take your page posts and share them on your personal page. there's a much higher chance they'll be seen by those whom you interact with on your personal page. And, those people will be more likely to share/like/comment.

2: Find some FB groups related to your industry/interests and share the post from your personal page into the group. Local shop & swap groups are great for small biz. type you town name into the search and see what groups come up. you'll be surprised!

3: always be engaging. ask questions, do polls, ask opinions, etc.. if you don't ask, they wont interact. keep an eye on some of the big brand names and see the tactics they use to attract interaction. try to adapt and "emulate" what they use but be original.

4: limit your postings until you get to a decent amount of interacting fans. Otherwise, you'll be stepping on your own feet. stick to the 80/20 rule. 80% quality "non-marketing" content and an occasional 20% promotion.
