Best Cheap 32-Inch HDTV 2013

Updated on August 23, 2013

Cheap and Durable 32 Inch HDTVs

Here is my list of the best cheap 32 Inch HDTVs out there. I'm organizing them in 720p and 1080p so you can easily distinguish between the two.

I decided to make this list because there is a time for that awesome 55 inch HDTV with 1080p, 1 million HZ, a USB port, and a wireless internet connection, but there is also a time for purchasing a television that is purely a television for watching your satellite or cable or casual movies while you lounge around the house.

Why You Should Buy a Cheap and Durable 720p HDTV

The truth is that this type of t.v. doesn't need to be nearly as fancy. One of the reasons is that as of now satellite and cable programming are still completely done in 720p so even if you wanted a better picture you couldn't get it! As far as "hertz" are concerned I can't really tell the difference between my t.v. that has 60hz and the one I have that is 120hz let alone the difference between 120hz and 240 hz!

It may hang on the wall in your exercise room, or maybe you use it casually in your bedroom. Whatever the use, there is always room for a less expensive HDTV.

By saying that a HDTV is cheap it doesn't mean that it's not reliable or won't last a long time. Many of these are fantastic models from just a couple years ago that people paid many times the price for!

Customer Reviews - I never purchase anything that doesn't have consistently good feedback from the consumer. This has served me well on many purchases in the past and I make it a priority in my rankings.

Product Price vs. Specifications

Everyone wants the best bang for their buck and why wouldn't you, it's your money.

Personal Experience

I base a lot of my decisions based on my personal experience with different products. I have also done reviews on 32 inch wall mounts, and other bestselling electronics.

*Buying Tips for Cheap and Durable HDTV

Because Amazon lists items lower than their minimum list price many times their product prices can't be viewed. Simply put the t.v. you are considering into your shopping cart at amazon to view the sale price (this does not mean you have to purchase it).

LG 32LD350 32-Inch 720p 60 Hz LCD HDTV

This great t.v. from LG has 3 HDMI inputs, a 50,000:1 contrast ratio for better rendering of colors and deep blacks, and multiple AV modes for optimizing your picture based on what you are watching. Includes a headphone Jack. For $48 you can extend the manufacturer's warranty on this to 3 years or go directly through amazon for squaretrade who can work directly with you in your home. That's one of the great things about LG, if you ever do have a problem you can work directly with them rather than a third party.

About LG: LG was initially founded as Goldstar in 1958 and has been producing quality consumer electronics ever since.

Panasonic TC-L32X2 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV with iPod Dock

Panasonic's 32 Inch Viera TC-L32X2 LCD HDTV features a universal dock for your iPod which allows you to play music and video from your iPod directly on your HDTV. It comes with a 20,000:1 contrast ratio, 3 HDMI inputs, 1 audio out input, and 1 PC input. This HDTV also meets Energy Star 4.0 requirements.

Samsung LN32C350 32-Inch 720p 60 Hz LCD HDTV (Black)

Features wide color enhancer for delivering crisp colors, handy connect input for your thumb drive or gitial camera, and 2 HDMI inputs.

Vizio E320VL 32-inch 720p LCD HDTV

For the price you can't really beat Vizio. I recently purchased one of these and have had no problem with it at all. The E320 VL features 1080i, 2 HDMI inputs, a 100,000:1 contrast ratio. I don't mind the 2 HDMI inputs for my exercise t.v. as I rarely use more than one on it (Laptop or Bluray). Since it's cheaper than the other televisions featured here the warranty price for 3 years is only $38.99 as well!

Toshiba 32C100U 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV (Black Gloss)

I included this Toshiba not only because of the high customer ratings and feedback given on it, but because I really enjoy the overall look and feel of Toshiba televisions. I own another similar 32 inch model that is 480p from a couple years back and have loved it. Includes 2 HDMI, 1 component, 1 composite, 1 PC, 1 USB, and 1 optical digital audio output. Features DynaLight backlight for deeper black levels.

Warranties for Your HDTV

It's my opinion that most problems with your HDTV occur within the first year of use. All of these listed manufacturers do include a 1 year warranty with your t.v. purchase. They are relatively expensive at up to 15.38% of the purchase price; however, for my own peace of mind I do generally purchase a warranty.

Best Value LCD 1080p HDTVs 2012 - 2013

Panasonic TC-L32U22 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

This affordable HDTV from panasonic features a 20,000:1 contrast ratio, LCD Technology, and In Plane Switching or IPS for wide viwing angles. Includes 3 HDMI, PC input, digital audio output, 2 composite, and a component input. 22/29 reviews on amazon gave this product a 5 star rating.

LG 32LE5300 32-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED LCD HDTV, Black

I'm not sure whether I would put this HDTV in the cheap category as it is 1080p and 120hz; however, because the price was so affordable I thought I would include it in this article. The 120hz with TruMotion technology and 2.4 millisecond response time virtually eliminates all blur when watching sports and movies. Includes a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio for deeper blacks, a USB port for external drives, and 4 HDMI inputs.

Toshiba 32E200U 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV (Black Gloss)

This 32 Inch HDTV from Toshiba features FULL HD 1080p resolution along with DynaLight dynamic backlight control for deeper blacks. The 4 HDMI ports feature InstaPort for faster changes from one source to another. Also includes a USB port for your external drives.

Samsung LN32A550 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

This t.v. features a 5 ms response rate and 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio for smooth motion scenes and great colors while eatching sports and action movies. Although the 5ms response rate isn't quite as fast as the 32LE5300 it's still very good. Comes with 3 HDMI 1.3 ports amd a USB 2 for home viewing of all of your favorite JPEG and MPEG files.

*Bargain Pick - VIZIO E320VA 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black

This VIZIO E320VA HDTV is currently under $300 on amazon. Includes 4 HDMI inputs and the E320VA consumes 58% less energy than vizio's earlier 2009 32 inch model. Features SRS TruVolume and SRS truSurround HD audio for virtual surround sound. I own a Vizio with this same feature and occasionally it feels like the sound is coming from a different area of the room even though the t.v. is hanging up right in front of me. The 50,000:1 Dynamic Contrast ratio is better than some of the more expensive HDTVs listed above and will provide great color for whatever you use it for. For the price of half of some other t.v.s in its category you can't go wrong.

      Hi brandonhart100, Nice Hub,

I think you touched on one very important aspect that not many people realize, the fact that television broadcasting is still in 780P format. Even if you purchase a 1080P monitor you still can't enjoy the full benefit of what it has to offer, at least not yet anyway.

      Good Info,
