Top Five Funny iPhone Cases

Updated on December 12, 2013

There are so many funny and weird iPhone cases available, that it's almost impossible to find which one to buy. That is, of course, if you want a strange case for your iPhone.

But after searching the web and eBay extensively I've put together this collection of what could be called the top 5 weird and funny novelty joke cases for the iPhone 4,4s and 5.

Each one comes with its own unique style and personality that will reflect the owner of the handset. After all, choosing a case or cover for your new iPhone is not just about functionality and protecting the phone. It's also about personalizing the handset, so that it's distinct from every other iPhone that's used in the world.

So if you're a little wacky yourself, and you want to make an impact with a joke case for you iPhone, pick a weird, creepy, funny or outrageous case from this top five list.

The #1 funny novelty iPhone case!

The swan bird silicone 3D case for iPhone 4, 4s and 5 is our favourite funny novelty cover. It has all the characteristics needed to make put it into number 1 position. The swan cases are cute, quirky, strange, funny and a little bit weird. They're guaranteed to make your friends and family laugh - even if they do think that you're a bit quackers! (Pun intended!)

The cases are made from soft silicone rubber, which right now is the most in-trend material for iPhone cases. The feature a cartoon style swan with a rather large swaying backside wrapping itself around the phone with its cheeky head peeking out from the top.

The swan bird 3D cases are on sale on eBay for around £9.99 and they are available in cream or white colours for iPhone 4, 4s and 5.

3D Silicone Hand iPhone Case

This iPhone case is really weird, and actually a little bit creepy. It's a 3D life size silicone rubber hand that actually attaches to the iPhone. It bears a striking resemblance to Thing from the Adams Family - the small hand that ran around the creepy mansion.

As can be seen from the picture to the right, when somebody uses their phone, they place their hand inside the fake hand on the case. It's a little bit disturbing, and looks like they are holding hands with part of a dead person's limb. On the scale of weirdness and creepiness, this iPhone case just about comes top. It's sure to attract some pretty strange looks when you use it!

3D Silicone Breasts iPhone Case

A case that is surprisingly popular is the silicone breasts cover for iPhone. The case is made from soft gel rubber, and features two large round breasts on the back. Just like in real life, the female form can also double as a very comfortable pillow, so it is with these cases, which also function as a stand.

The case is a little bit risque, so it's probably more targeted at adults. But these 3D breast cases are hardly likely to offend anyone. They should make for quite a few laughs among friends.

From a functionality point of view the silicone boobs, which are aptly pert, may prove to be a bit of a hindrance as the breasts are likely to prevent the phone from slipping easily into a pocket. The cover is available in a range of colours for both iPhone 4 and 5.

3D Silicone Ear iPhone Case

It seems that body parts make for the most strange iPhone cases, so here we have another that is particularly weird. It's the 3D silicone ear case for iPhone 4, 4s and 5.

The large case made from soft silicone gel rubber resembles a human ear - so when people talk on their phones they are literally holding another ear to their own ear. Quite what the significance of this is, I have no idea. But needless to say, this is another case that's particularly bizarre.

The flesh colored material used to make the iPhone case also helps to give it the resemblance of human skin, adding ever so slightly to the look of a real life human ear. You might be able to use this case for a couple of months until the novelty value wears off, but after that, the size and generally ugliness of it will surely warrant a change to a more conservative cover.

3D Silicone Apple Core iPhone Case

Quite why anybody would think that an apple core is an attractive fashion accessory for their iPhone is beyond me. But incredibly, the half-eaten apple core case is a very popular high-selling cover for iPhones. Thousands of the weird novelty covers have sold on eBay alone.

The case is made from silicone rubber, which seems to be the most popular material for making 3D and creative cases. It comes in a wide range of colours and is in the shape of an apple that has been half-eaten. The cases even have the same soft cream colour of apple flesh!

There are a number of people selling the cases online, so they are clearly in demand. This also means that they are easy to buy for both iPhone 4 and iPhone 5. They are also more functional than the other weird body parts style covers for iPhone. The shape of the case doesn't make it difficult to fit inside pockets, handbags and rucksacks. There's also something distinctly playful and unique about the silicone cover.

The modern art style fast face iPhone case

Fast Face 3D iPhone Case

This final weird iPhone case looks more like a piece of modern art than a cover for a smartphone. It comes in white and features a spooky ghost-like face bursting out of the back of the phone. The way that the back of the case stretches with small holes it gives the appearance that the face has been travelling at speed before it bursts through the back of the phone.

This is quite a unique silicone case, and not necessarily as funny as the other iPhone covers listed on this page but it is definitely weird. There's no way that this cover will be functional, because just like the silicone breasts cases, the 3D nature of it would restrict it from being stored easily.
