My U.F.O. Sightings

U.F.O.s

My first encounter with a U.F.O. was in 1972. I was driving home from my job as a teacher in Georgia, and I saw a large group of people who had parked their vehicles alongside the roadway. At least a dozen folks of all ages and gender were staring up into the sky at a large multicolored object, that seemed to hover motionlessly in the night. I approached one man, after parking my car, and asked what it was we were looking at. He said little and pointed toward the object, which seemed to be triangular in its shape. I don't remember too much else, except that I seemed satisfied and walked back to my car and drove on towards my parent's home. I did relate my sighting to my folks, who commented that it probably was a government project of some sort. Some how this did not seem plausible at the time.

In 1973 I was walking in a field hunting Doves with a student of mine. It was around 5:00 p.m. in the afternoon and I remember seeing a silver disk floating near a house about one hundred yards distant and gradually moving in my direction. I yelled for my hunting companion to come on and lets get out of there. He was about to shoot his gun into the air at a flock of birds when I noticed four more silver disks in the sky directly in the area that he was aiming his gun. I yelled for the boy to hold his fire and that we had better head for my car parked near a fence nearby. I felt genuinely frightened and began to run toward my car with the boy right behind me. Just as we got to the car, I turned to see a large pillar of white smoke at about twenty yards distance from us. The smoke seemed to stand vertically and towered into the daylight. We drove out of there and I drove to a local sheriff's station and reported my sighting.

The sheriff told me not to feel bad and said that he had witnessed a red orb hovering above a home where he was called to come. He said the orb suddenly shot upward and instantly vanished. Several of my students saw similar orbs in the next few weeks. One saw a strange red orb hovering over a field where he and a man drove a combine. They were so scared that they jumped from the big machine and ran to their home, allowing the tractor to crash into some nearby trees. Two other of my students were babysitting and a huge red orb landed in their back yard. They called their mom and the girls all piled into her station wagon and fled the house with the pulsating red orb sitting in their back yard. Other sittings were made around this time also.

In 1978, two years after I was married, my wife, her sister, and I were standing in the front yard when a huge triangular shaped object arose across the roadway in front of us. The object was dark in color and had rows of lights pulsating around its perimeter. It was silent and seemed to virtually float above our heads. After we ran into the house, we watched the object move gradually across the evening sky above neighboring homes in the area. What seemed most odd about this encounter was the fact that seventeen years later we all recalled the incident at the same time. My wife's sister phoned her to relate this and we were all puzzled as to why this happened. We seemed to have forgotten that it took place over all those years.

We saw another chase later on. Two jets from a nearby airbase began to chase a red orb one evening as we drove to our home. I pulled off the road to watch the chase. The planes followed the object in a huge circle for a few minutes and suddenly it bolted straight upward and disappeared. The pilots still circled the area and soon lost interest.

In 1986 my family was followed all the way from Florida to our home more than three hundred miles away. After we had arrived the brightly lit object paused above our vehicle and then shot into the night sky. We were beginning to feel like we were being watched by some unknown source and over time it seemed to be a regular event. In 2000 we were escorted home to our Florida home by a large airship. The ship was elongated and brightly lit wit small wing like structures on either side. The lights were red, blue, green and white and pulsated all around the huge ship, which seemed to be at least a hundred feet in length.

I am puzzled and wonder why we have not witnessed any more unusual sightings since this time. We certainly will never forget those strange lights in the evening sky. Who knows where they are from?

My encounters have meant so much to me that I have started a cartoon series featuring space aliens, Gak and Geek. They may be viewed on Hub pages.

Very interesting hub. I believe with the triangle UFO's they glide through the sky often without anyone noticing them. They are so silent. Voted up.

I would only claim to have seen one myself personally. It was a bit like a disco light in the sky. flashing different illuminous colours. There have been other strange things I seen, but I am happy to dismiss those because they could of been anything. Overall though good hub and thanks for commenting on my two hubs. also.
