When the Stamps.com Software Isn't Working
I use Stamps.com software to print my shipping labels. But sometimes the software doesn't work when you most need it, and it is darn frustrating, especially when you have more than a hundred packages to ship. This hub is about what to do when the software is not working, to reduce the waste of your time and the possibility of batting your computer monitor.
What To Do When Your Software Isn't Working
- Check the Stamps.com Twitter. If other people are having the same problem, they should be twits from people complaining. If the issue is a known problem, there is nothing you can do but wait. The company will twit when the issue is resolved, so it is a good idea to follow.
- If there isn't any twits about the software not working, it is probably only your problem. Check your internet connection and try restarting your computer. If you still have the problem, call them at 1-888-434-0055, Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Pacific Time.
Complaining About a Problem
- Don't waste your time yelling at the customer service representative. The only thing they will and can do is apologize. If you are really pissed off, try to see how long of a yelling can make the rep lose her temper, and tell me about it.
- Make a note when the problem started, and when the problem was resolved. When I had an issue for few hours, I was told by a supervisor that if I call in after the problem was resolved, and tell a rep how many hours I wasn't able to use the software, I can get a refund on the monthly payment for the hours I wasn't able to use the software. (The software wasn't working for 5 hours, 720 hours in a month, $15 monthly fee, so about 10¢ refund. I didn't bother calling)
Yes, sometimes Stamps.com software doesn't work. And I get crazy every time it does that. But such is life.
As always, thank you for reading my hub. If you have any questions, concerns, or yell at me, please leave me a comment. I hope this hub was helpful as it was intended.
