GoFlex Home FreeAgent Drive by Seagate

Easy Backup

If you are looking for an easy way to backup your computer you won't find a better or easier way than the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Home Drive. I have this drive backing up three computers in my home and it has worked flawlessly on all machines. Once you have it installed on your computer you can set it to back up your drive and after the first time you run it you won't even know it's there.

You will no longer have to think about backing up your computer because it will be done for you automatically. I have paid for internet backup and have found it be very similar to the online backup in the way it works. The only difference is that it seems to be faster and less of a drain on the computer.

One thing that you do need to keep in mind is that if you have something happen in your home like fire it won't protect you the same as an online backup.

Experts say that you should have more than one type of backup. It is a good rule of thumb to have a backup drive and an online backup as well as a physical copy like DVDs.

Easy to Use Network Drive

If you're looking to share a drive with other computers in your home this will make it easy. The drive hooks right up to the router through a CAT-5 cable and sends a wireless signal to the computers. You will then be able to share the drive. It is so easy to set up it only takes few minutes.

You can also access your drive from anywhere that has a internet connection even if your computer is off as long as your router is on and has access to the internet. They even have a app so you can connect it to your iPad giving your iPad more storage.

Makes Your USB Printer Into a Network Printer

If you have only one printer in the house it becomes a pain to always have to go to the computer with the printer to print any thing. Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Home Drive will make your USB printer into a Network printer so that all of the computers in your house can use the same printer. All you have to do is plug the USB cable into the drive and all of your computers will have access to the printer.

The only down side to this is that the router and the printer either have to be close together or you will need a long wire to connect the drive to the router and printer at the same time.
