Wireless Charging Pad

Updated on April 19, 2013

Having a charging mat or charging station for your hand held electronic devices can make the job of having to charge your these devices so much easier. No more trying to figure out which charge cord belongs to one of the many wireless devices we all have today. Now you can charge your cell phone, iPod, iPad, e-Readers as well as your Blackberry or other PDAs all at the same time using a wireless charging pad.

The charging mats are easy to use. All you have to do is put your wireless device on the charge mat or station, wait for the charging light to come on and then leave the device alone until it is fully charged.

The good news: they are safe to touch when they are turned on so you won’t get any electrical shocks when you touch the charging station. You can also charge your Bluetooth headsets, digital cameras, portable gaming devices, mp3 players and GPS navigation systems.

iHome IB969G Charging Station

The iHome IB969G Charging Station is a great solution for charging up an assortment of Apple gadgets. It provides the extra power needed to charge an iPad while it's powered on.

The USB ports on most computers don't have enough power that is need to charge the iPad when it's in use. It will also allow you to charge four other devices at once and only use a single power outlet. There were a couple of little concerns but nothing serious.

It does not come with an Apple dock connector USB cable. Although they are cheap enough iHome could have added one to the package.

One owner commented that they thought "it was a great solution for charging an assortment of Apple gadets and provides extra power to charge the iPad while it's powered on. You can charge four devices at once and only use a single power outlet".

The Duracell MyGrid is so useless! Shame on them for releasing this product so soon. They really missed the boat for so many reasons. It comes with three adapters-but they are for three different "makes" of phones. You have to put a sleeve and clip on your phone-and keep it on the phone-even when it's not charging! You also need to buy additional components in order to charge more than one phone. The product is way off the mark! For more info on why you should SAVE your money and NOT buy this product, go to the web and search it out for yourself.
