    good for commercial use;
    bad for private use;
    we already know how it leads to many crimes every day;
    what you post on FB is not private any more so be careful what you do in that dangerous land;

    It is up to you how you use it. This world filled with good and bad things. But you know how to choose the best and avoid the bad things rite? Same here.

    Be alert about everything what you do. Also make sure you do not do anything which can harm others. This is the only way you can save yourself from harmful social networks...........

    to me in most cases it is a good thing. like anything it of course has it's drawbacks but it is overall one of the better social media sites available.

    Neither, it's an indifferent platform. How we use it, as with everything else, is either good or bad depending on our intentions.

    Some times good some time bad... it depends on time, if you have spare time and need company or you are a online marketer and want get some visits than it's good for you. and if you don't have time and still sticking to it because of its addiction than its bad.

    it's good because you can connect with your friends even if you are continents apart.

    it's bad because what you post about yourself and your photos can be seen by the online public.

    I personally hate Facebook. I hate the setup, the constant changes, and how people update their statuses every 15 seconds. That’s either too much life to tell about, or not enough life to leave your desk every once and awhile. I also hate how slow it is, and how you can’t make anything personalized. Face it people, Facebook isn’t really about you. You can’t change your name to something Facebook doesn't deem to be real, you can't make a cool background with anything other than whiter wall than an insanity ward, you can’t play music or keep videos or pictures permanently on your profile. It's slow, it's over rated, and all out infuriating!!
    On the other hand, everyone has one, so I have one as well. Basically that's the only way I can keep in contact with friends and family in my hometown (where cell phones don't exist apparently T_T). Also I have several homeless friends out here as well who don't have phones, and I like to be open to them when they post a stat saying they need a place to stay for the night.
    BUT! I have managed to make a compromise; due to my hatred of the site and the self-loathing I was dealing with whenever my reasons of having one weren’t enough for my mind, I set up the connection to my phone. I now select the friends who are closest to me, or the ones who need places to stay and such, and have their statuses sent directly to my phone when posted. I also do this for comments, messages, and page posts directed to me. This way, the only reason I have to go on Facebook is to check pictures that I was tagged in, or because my computer keys are faster for typing long messages than my sticky keyboard on my phone, which is apparently still mad at me for spilling a 5 hour energy on it in January (you know they have caffeine free 5 hour energy now? what's the point!?).
    Anyway...Yeah actually, I think that's all I was going to say...OH!! Can someone PLEASE explain to me exactly wtf Twitter is?? Thanks! ^_^

    Facebook is good for business like product ( application) and is the only way to promote online business and share updates to our community immediately .

    I think it has it's pros and cons.  When I first set up my account I was fascinated!  It was so nice to reconnect with childhood friends.  Of course, sometimes people "over" share, which turned me off a bit.  However, Facebook is a great platform for article promotion.  You can gain readers that you wouldn't have reached otherwise.

    Both.  Good for reconnecting with people, providing another form of communication, and sharing interesting stuff.  Bad for the lack of privacy that it promotes and for its addictiveness for certain individuals.

    I love the simplicity of the question.  Sorry, it is too much too pass.

    Is anything good or bad?

    Is sex good or bad?  Regardless of the judgment, it is the way we multiply our numbers.  Yet, we still have not come to the unified opinion on that one.  The number of people in this universe trying to paint it in negative way may (just may!) outnumber those who are more or less reasonable.  Taken to extreme, what it becomes?  It depends on how much you exposed to those extremes.

    Is internet good or bad?
    Is eating good or bad?
    Is reading good or bad?

    It depends what you read.  The same goes for everything else.  Do you see the world in black and white?

    Haven't we graduated from grade one yet?  Still there?  In the sandpit....

    I guess our education is still BAD if we can't reach a little more sophistication.

    Facebook, let's face it - it is just one social site, there are others.  Is HubPages good or bad?

    To give you more conventional answer, I joined HubPages through Facebook.  There was one person who found me via Facebook, the most unusual encounter - a former girlfriend of my ex-boyfriend.  It was strange, yet I am glad we established a connection.  If I saw the world in black in white, I would have pressed the button "DELETE".  I am glad I did not.  I am glad I had the courage to call.  I am glad I have the courage to speak my mind.

    I don't believe oversimplification works for adults.

    Facebook good place to see old friends ... bad place to live on daily unless you like to virtual farm or play mayor of a city.

    As others have said Facebook is neither good nor bad, it is a tool and can be used for good or evil.

    However, I think that sometimes young people do not understand about privacy and why anyone would want privacy and security. They post so much personal information and do not realize how dangerous it is.

    They also do not realize the power of the written word.

    Bad Reason of Facebook:
    1. Not much privates on your walls & profile

    it really depends upon why and how you are using it.
    facebook is a good site for social networking,keeping in touch with your near and dear ones.it is also very beneficial for advertisers.
    But on the other hand,mostly children,due to excessive use and "addiction"of it,are losing the most.Mostly ppl spend 7 to 8 hours on facebook which really hampers their everyday work.sometimes they seems to stop living the normal life and feel themselves a robot in the virtual world.

    I think its good, can be addicting, its a love hate relationship. I hate to love it. But the one thing that has been annoying for the past I guess year or so is all the little things facebook comes up with like the current go to account, facebook ads, and disable the use of facebook being able to use your pictures in ads on facebook...all those hidden little things you only find out because someone put the warning as their status.

    I'm not so sure if it is good or bad. For me, I feel like, I just don't know what to do with it. Maybe, I'm not the right market for Facebook, but it just doesn't have the substance to keep drawing me to it. Yeah it's cool to see what friends are up to, but not so sure I need to know they dropped their kid off at soccer practice then went and got a hamburger. That information just doesn't do it for me, so it's neither good or bad, it's just boring at this point. Maybe if I was a teenager it would be more fun. not sure.

    If i had seen this question last week i would have said that Facebook is a bad thing, and if you have read my hub on it then you will know why. However a girl from my home town went missing at the weekend and a group was set up to help find her. Appeals went out for locals to come forward with any information. and the group was mentioned on the local radio and news, the police were even communicating to the public through the group. The support that has been shown on this group has been overwhelming and hundreds of people traveled down to my home town to help search for the missing girl, many of those that couldn't make it, printed off the posters of her and walked around the shops putting them up. In cases like this FaceBook can only be a good thing.

    for most of us, it is an addiction.........
    And like any usual addiction, if it is not controlled at the right time, it can turn out to be bad as well........
