It isn't a matter of not wanting to do things that way, it is matter of having to learn new ways after a lifetime of doing things another way. When our parents were young, technology was introduced at a much slower pace. Today, things change at lightning speed and it is hard for people to keep up, learn new ways, have those ways change yet again etc.
I embrace most of the technology and use the internet for banking and shopping. But I don't like the intrusions of cell phones into all of our lives. If I am eating dinner at a restaurant, I have to hear people's personal conversations etc. at other tables.
So I have embraced it with some reservations.
