Right now, I'm using an Epson from the stylus series and run well with it since years. Canon also served me very well for years. Printers in general are no real big deal nowadays, monetarily spoken. Though, the brand on question of durability, that's a whole different story. But let's stay with known brands and by my experience, Canon, Epson & Lexmark should fit the bill in terms of quality/price tag.
The best choice also is when you can refill your cartridges or have a printer that's not designed to use just/only cartridges of its own brand alone.
Also a way to safe money on a long run.
My 1st choice generally goes to Canon!
(HP ... always sucks when it comes to the simplicity & easiness of its functionalities ..)
