Yes. In a hospital,many people would not live without a machine; and often the quality of life does not seem to warrant it. However, nobody wants to play God and request that the machine is turned off. Before machines, if you survived you lived; otherwise you died.

But you and I know that many machines are the source of laziness and addiction. The television has proven to be addictive as most individuals have become 'coach potatoes', hardly ever seeing outdoors and not wanting to miss their favorite show. Bodies tell the story. Yes, machines make most of us slaves.
