Do you find Google+ a good tool for increasing traffic?
Need lots of creativity here...wrap this around you head and go for it~
I "+" everything - every hub, every blog post, every video. I have not seen a substantial traffic boost from Google+ to my HubPages posts, through I can see in my Google Web Master Tools that I have helped to drive traffic to my other sites. The key, from my understanding, to using Google+ successfully is how you manage your "circles" aka friends. You can have tidbits that you add to Google+ show to select groups of people or be public. Personally, I have my setting to share everything with everyone, but I am not using the full social media functionality of the site, just the ability to add via G+. Knowing the site's demographics is also helpful. The Huffington Post has a piece on Google+ demographics (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/3 … 41682.html), you can find good data on Mashable.com as well (http://mashable.com/2012/03/09/social-m … ographics/). So I guess the answer would be that it is a good tool if you use it to your advantage.
Thanks Jeff and I will check out the links too.
Yes, I find Google+ does help with increasing traffic. Share your own hubs and hubs of other people that you find interesting. Also connect with hubbers on Google+ and read their hubs and add comments there. It's a great way to get new readers and more views.
