I totally agree with what Kasio Martin says about avoiding unlimited hosting, they are deceptive at best. Common sense tells you that you couldn't go and host Twitter or Facebook on one of these unlimited accounts...
There are many good shared and dedicated web hosting providers around and most offer very similar disk space and bandwidth limits for about the same price. Web hosting is a very competitive field for sure! These are typically the two limiting factors when choosing a hosting plan.
Since most hosting packages are so similar I think the deciding factor should be customer service. When it comes to computers and web hosting it's not a matter of if something will go wrong, but when. So since problems are inevitable it's best to be dealing with a company that will respond in a timely fashion. The faster the better when your money is on the line.
Personally I have used WebHostingBuzz.com, WHB, for several years now and I'm still amazed at the level of customer service they offer. They offer 24/7/365 customer service via live chat, E-Mail and telephone. I'd guess about 90% of the time they are able to resolve most issues for me in live chat in about 5-10 minutes. Occasionally they ask me to submit a ticket so their technical support team can get it sorted out.
Some of their employees I've spoken with used slightly broken English, but it never interfered with communicating with them. They are always polite and friendly to deal with.
WHB has set the bar very high and I would never accept less from any other company.
